WAYYYY more fun than other trampoline gyms. We go frequently, and my 3yr and 5yr old daughters looooove it. After trying skyzone and being underwhelmed, I was sooo excited to find that RockNJump is infinitely more fun with way more stuff to do. I find the trampoline/play area pretty clean (just not the locker area...it's always messy), and the staff is all very nice and super relaxed. I love that we can rent a locker for $3 to not risk losing keys or credit card. My daughter is 3 and we jump with her, but she often makes friends there as well. If you get bored with just jumping, theres several other things you can do so nobody's ever bored. We're also big fans of neon night when they turn all the lights off and have fun neon lights/Lazer show in the dark. They give everybody glow sticks and it's a very fun atmosphere.
What's there to do: There's multiple open jump areas, including one for just little kids and one for dodgeball. 2 basketball hoops each with a single trampoline square, they have a rock wall with a foam pit underneath, a small foam pit just for little kids to play in, and a REALLY cool Ninja Warrior course (that's super hard but a lot of fun) with foam blocks underneath in case you fall. Most of the kids swim through the sea of foam cubes, pick and choose what obstacles they want, or just go straight to the slide on the other side. They also have trampolines with a giant parachute like landing pad behind them so you can jump off the trampoline to do tricks onto the pad. Another area has a tightrope to cross, a rope to the ceiling, a wobbly robe ladder to try to climb, and a balance beam for jousting.
Cost of admission can add up quickly with multiple people jumping, but the memberships are a GREAT deal- especially if you're going with your kids and parents want to jump as well, since the parent add-on to a kids membership is only $7. For us (mom, dad, kid) the monthly membership costs significantly less than paying for ONE jumping session, and when big sister comes we can use our monthly friend pass. Love the freedom of being able to go as...
Read moreI don’t believe they own a first aid kit or at least I never saw one after my son broke his leg. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I understand the risk of getting hurt at places like this but I also expect a certain kind of care when accidents do happen at an organized business specializing in play and sports-like activities. My 4 yr old fractured his tibia after 5 minutes of being there. We were offered an ice pack by a young man which came in a leaking ziplock bag with a few wadded up paper towels and that was the full extent of any care or concern we received at this place. I’ve had kids get scraped knees at free attractions (the zoo and science center) that received more concern and medical attention than this place offered. No one once checked back on us or offered any assistance even when I tried to flag a few workers down I couldn’t get anyone’s attention. The only attention came when we were trying to carry my son out the door to the car and then they just asked information for the computer and delayed proper care and comfort for my son. We were never offered an ace bandage or legit ice pack or even complimentary passes for my family since our day was ruined immediately, not that we’ll ever want to go back. They need some sort of system in place because accidents will and do happen and it’s unacceptable for a mom to carry a crying 4yr old and 1 yr old without any assistance from the staff or compassion. I find it hard to believe this was the first incident here but the way it was handled you would think it was and that it never occurred to them someone could get hurt. Either that or they just don’t care and they’re sole intention is profit even if it’s at the expense of the unfortunate few that...
Read moreWe visited SkyZone for a birthday party after traveling from Illinois, and while parts of it were fairly fun, the overall experience left us very disappointed.
The trampoline attractions were enjoyable, and the kids had some fun during the limited time we were there. However, the arcade games were a bit overpriced for how little time they offered. The claw machines were especially frustrating—once you put money in, the claw would start moving immediately with no way to control it, making it feel like winning was impossible. The only game that truly worked and felt worth it was the air hockey table, which we all enjoyed. Super fun!!
Unfortunately, our time was cut short by a scary fight that broke out. As soon as it started, we began putting on our shoes to leave, not wanting to risk staying in what quickly became a chaotic environment. The most troubling part was the way staff and management handled it. While some individuals were kicked out, one of the people involved in the altercation was allowed to remain inside, continuing to cause a scene yelling, cursing and challenging those who were being thrown out to do more fighting. This showed a clear and unfair application of rules and raised major concerns about safety and proper management.
Police eventually arrived, but by that point, we had already packed in the vehicles. The situation was unsettling and not the kind of environment I want my son exposed to. After making the trip from out of state for what was supposed to be a celebration, this was a huge letdown.
I won’t be returning, and I hope management takes a serious look at how incidents like this are handled in the future. Throw them all out! I'll stick with Skyzone...
