We had the reception for our October 2022 wedding at the Shrewsbury Sunset Room located at the Shrewsbury City Center. This venue is a hidden treasure that more local brides should really consider! While this space is not an all inclusive venue, it is extremely affordable and a very pretty space. This space is perfect for DIY and minimalist brides and anyone working with a limited budget.

We had 91 guests (11 tables + 1 head table) along with various additional tables, and there was plenty of space for us. There are several rules for the space that made use very flexible with us (no required in-house caterers, can bring in your own alcohol and bartender, etc.).

There are a number of rental options for their space (day of, 2 days, 3 days) depending on your set up needs. We chose the least expensive option, 1 day (11 hours), which meant members of the bridal party and our family had to go set up a few hours before the ceremony (which worked out great for us).

Lauren with Shrewsbury City Hall was extremely helpful and quick to respond to my plethora of questions. I was able to come by several times over the year of planning to walk through the room, take measurements, etc. Marty the onsite, day of maintenance guy was very helpful in running ice, removing trash, and available for questions.
