Dog owners beware! Here at the Silverton dog park there appears to be a group of folks that have no consideration for others or perhaps they just don’t know how to read. This evening I went to the park to bring my 10 pound dog to the play area for 30lbs and UNDER. And there were three large dogs who were clearly over the 30 pound mark. Note there were no dogs in the 30 pound and OVER area. Now, when I arrived with my dog, do you think they had consideration to maybe move their dogs over to the area designated for their dogs? No they just advised their dogs wouldn’t bother my dog. Unfortunately, my dog just stayed by the front of the play area instead of us being able to play ball because of the other dogs. Very intimating for a little dog! Point here people is that there’s two spaces one for dogs UNDER 30 pounds and one for dogs OVER 30 pounds. This allows all folks to enjoy the space not just the privileged few. Silverton Community members...

There is a small fenced in side and a large breed fenced in side (although the regulars with small dogs rarely use their side and just get pissed when your 80lb dog tries to play with their annoying ankle biter (just goto the small dog side, it's there for a reason karen). And a lot of people have no problem grabbing/man handling your dog so go at your own risk and watch that no one is hurting your animal.
