To be honest Sioux Falls has a downtown that stinks, figuratively and literally. You get the smell of John Morrell (eau de Pork) and the various weird smells of the building down here. Most of the stores look like they got their merchandise from Goodwill and priced it at about ten times what you pay there and half of the businesses looked dilapidated. Don't forget about the rude service from these places as you buy your Goodwill, er excuse me, 'retro' themed merchandise. As far as the restaurants go they are about as sophisticated and upscale as your average Chuck E Cheese with a menu that's not too far away from it. (No joke, the restaurants down here use cheese on almost everything so keep that in mind if you have a milk allergy.) I can't imagine anyone being smug or proud enough to live or do their business in this downtown. I'm sticking with Dawley Farms for now.
Update: I contacted these guys after they responded here a little while ago and I never heard back from them. I didn't expect a response from them given how the downtown conducts its business overall so I'm not surprised. Your results may vary but this is what you should expect from the locals in SF -...
Read moreIt was very nice dining experience. The host greeted us right away. The server was very pleasant and helpful. And the rest of the service staff was very intuitive. Atmosphere is great if you're looking for that classic classy restaurant vibe. The food was prepared well nothing extraordinary but prepared well. Did not try the famous market bar this time maybe next time. We all enjoyed our meal steak was prepared properly The duck was a little overcooked but still very delicious with the lingenberry jam. Shared tiramisu for dessert it was very chocolate forward instead of coffee so for people with the sweet tooth it's very good. Overall very good experience we...
Read moreA couple years ago, I thought our downtown (Fargo) had more to offer than downtown Sioux Falls. But I was in downtown Sioux Falls a couple weeks ago and my goodness, it is amazing! Lots of fun stores, restaurants, and an amphitheater, which was crowded with people listening to music. The atmosphere, art, and cleanliness of your downtown is second to none! I especially like the art installations you have around downtown that have not been vandalized in any way. And your sidewalks are so clean! Great job,...
