EDIT: My coworker came back with the burgers and the burger was medium rare/rare. We’re done after this experience.
I’m going to start with they messed up our orders. Not only did they mess up our orders, they refused to give us some form of a refund because my coworker said she was able to go pick up the remade burgers (I’m pregnant and I can’t miss lunch). The bacon on my burger wasn’t cooked properly. One piece was completely raw while the tip of the other piece was raw. Therefore, I couldn’t eat any portion of the burger due to it being contaminated and I’m not risking my unborn child’s wellbeing over some uncooked bacon. Let’s move onto the ghost cheeseburger. There was no ghost cheese sauce on this burger and it was normal bacon, not the jalapeño bacon it was supposed to have. My burger also didn’t have the garlic aioli on it or the extra aioli on the side that we paid for. The chislic didn’t come with the ranch that we asked for either. Just the ghost cheese sauce. My coworker ran back to get the burgers as I need to eat given my current situation and we just spent $70 on incorrect food. The manager said if they wouldn’t have remade it, they would’ve been able to refund it. That’s ridiculous and this is not how you run a business. Especially when 2 people have to leave to get food. The manager said the owner doesn’t allow them to compensate people in these situations. Horrible customer experience and I don’t think we’ll be supporting them in the future. We’ve been long time customers and this definitely turned us away. This isn’t how you...
Read moreThe last time my husband and I dined at Ode, it was a standalone restaurant. We enjoyed it. Today, as we pulled up, we realized it was now part of the Country Inn & Suites. We should have trusted our guts and left. But we stayed. We went for the Father's Day BBQ I saw advertised. For $35, we were anticipating an array of delicious food and meat. The buffet included a lettuce salad with croutons and dressing (no cheese or veggies), chips & queso (decent), potato chips & cheese puff balls (umm 🤔), fresh fruits (fine), 2 kinds of mac 'n cheese that were basic and dried out, baked beans straight from the can, corn on the cob (decent), potato salad (no flavor), corn bread (meh), hot dogs (very basic), scotcharoos (ok), strawberry pretzel dessert (ok), and then we each were allowed to order 2 kinds of meat from a list of about 10 choices. My ribs were dry, my shrimp skewers were ok, the brisket was fatty, not warm, and had my husband wondering if it might make him sick. The pork loin and grilled chicken were very dry. The pulled pork and fried walleye were quite good. So, use caution, don't expect amazing food, and I highly suggest you dine elsewhere. On a positive note, the servers were very friendly. However, I bid a big goodbye to Ode! I could have had much better food and saved a lot of money had we gone...
