Wow, just wow. Okay, maybe not "just" wow.
What a wonderful gem to have stumbled across. I say I stumbled across this because you won't find this spot except by accident because it's so new. They've only been open a couple weeks and their menu is concise but both of the items I tried were unique and special. I can only assume the rest is the same but I'll know for sure soon enough because I will be back.
I'll try to explain why I liked it so much without just explaining that I liked it.
The bread is created on site with locally sourced ingredients, not premixed and packaged for commercial consumption by adding water.
I believe all the breads are sourdough based with their own sourdough starter. The meats are sliced in house and the sauces are made fresh using quality ingredients.
It is as if you asked a personal chef, "Make me a breakfast sandwich from scratch including only fresh ingredients only purchased in the produce section of the supermarket. Oh, and would you mind baking a loaf of Focaccia bread to put it on? Thanks!”
Yeah, it's like that.
The breakfast sandwich is plenty to share. Couple that with the excellent coffee from "The Source" coffee shop literally next door or one of the unique drinks from their cooler and you will be experiencing something different than you will find anywhere else in Sioux Falls.
I knocked one star off on atmosphere. Not because it is lacking only because the eating area is a common space rather than a private restaurant and some might not prefer that. I like the set up because, as mentioned, it gives you the option of having a great sandwich and a great coffee all in one place but doesn't require either place to try and excel outside their own area of expertise.
I would highly recommend this place to foodies looking for a new and unique food experience that is worth seeking out sooner rather than later.
As more people find out about this place and they get more popular I imagine it will get more difficult to maintain this level of service and quality.
Go there before everyone else finds out about them. You won't regret it unless you don't need another undiscovered favorite sandwich place.
Thanks Conner for a great experience....
Read moreA few weeks ago my Son and I went to the Jones Building to visit the Source while enjoying some of our favorite hot drinks London Fog for me and a Chai latte for my Son. I was craving something sweet and freshly made while waiting for our drinks I decided to walk around to see what was available. To my surprise I found the North End Bakery and Deli right next door to the Source so I didn’t have to walk too far. For someone who loves bread and baked goods I was beyond impressed, I originally was just looking for a treat to pair with our drinks so I ordered a fresh baked chocolate roll which is like a cinnamon roll but features chocolate instead of spice. I was given the option to have it serviced warm which helped released this wonderful cocoa aroma and was served with a small dish of freshly whipped cream that was more flavorful than sweet let me say it was fantastic and I was thinking about it all week. We were so pleased with our treat that we decided to try one of their signature sandwiches which was also very tasty and left a great impression on us. The sandwich was made on their fresh baked sourdough bread it had thinly sliced bresaola(Italian dried beef) , fresh cucumbers, fresh greens, goat cheese and a beet spread. We throughly enjoyed it and the sourdough was the star component. We went again today and enjoyed our new go to treat the chocolate roll and this time I purchased a loft of their fresh baked whole wheat loaf and went home a made an epic grilled cheese sandwich. The owners Connor and Kat are awesome too it’s definitely one of Sioux Falls’s best...

The muffuletta is out-of-this-world delicious, bursting with flavor. That and their irresistible baked goods????.. you’ve got yourself a new favorite spot. Every pastry and loaf I’ve tried has been baked to perfection—fresh, flavorful, and made with dedication.
My visit was made extra special through the kindness of Conner, the baker. When I asked about the chocolate chip cookies and he realized they were out, he went above and beyond by taking one right from the display counter so I could try it. That says everything about the kind of service you’ll find here—thoughtful, personal, and genuinely caring.
The North End Bakery and Deli community is beautiful! Delicious food and wonderful people come together. Cat and Conner have created something truly special, and I can’t...
