My service dog and I visited this ornate and dynamic 1800s quartsite building. The information clerk is kind and informative. The stained glass windows are breathtaking. The woodwork, the detail, the stairwells ... well, it's hard to find this kind of architecture any more.
The exhibits I visited Designing Sioux Falls: What ... Was? Is? If? Nice coverage of SF history
Beehives and Smokey Eyes, from Bathrooms to Barbershops, What a fun exhibition of hair styles, makeup, commercials, barbershops, I really enjoyed the 13 minute video, commercials from the 1950s through the 1980s ... I swear I saw the famous "Farrah Fawcett" hairstyle, ahh memories!
Scenes of Sioux Falls: A photographic Journey, both loved and was appalled at the many major fires that had altered SF history.
Free to the public although they do kindly request donations. Nice gift shop, kind shopkeeper.

A symbol of the city's past, Its legacy forever cast, In Sioux Falls, where stories blend, This courthouse stands, a...

They were also innovative by luring bison into natural sinkholes, but ambushing eagles is something we can never think of. Among the museum collection, I find the antique automobile and loom the most intriguing. Needless to say, the courthouse room was...
