The Arc of Dreams is an excellent representation of it's intent. This exhibit has a lot to take in. It has indoor and outdoor exhibits, telling you many things about the history of Sioux Falls and it's progressions over the years. There are also a number of Wonderful quotes from Sioux Falls City Influencers and Historic Figures as well. The Arc itself is a MASSIVE seemingly 2 part piece that stretches across the Big Sioux River. Each piece carefully placed on their respective side of the River with a Gap between the two pieces, representing the Leap of Faith it often takes to Achieve your Dreams. The Arc is accessible from 8th Street by pulling into the Cherapa Place parking lot or there is an access just off of Phillips if you turn East down 7th Street. There is also a bridge you can cross to access the other side, whichever you choose. If you'd like to view the indoor exhibit, that is inside the Cherapa Place building. This is an Awe Inspiring Exhibit and I encourage anyone to visit. They also light it up a variety of colors in...
Read moreAbsolutely the most beautiful art piece in sioux falls. Its beautiful day and night and can be stared at for hours. At night there are colored lights shining on it(blue when I went) , reflecting brightly on the river below. That man is Dale Claude Lamphere. A great artist, a great person, and a great friend. I hope his work stays around forever, bringing hope and inspiration to people everyday. This arc is the heart of sioux falls. I love it and I...
Read moreBeautiful art installment. This a massive stainless-steel sculpture that spans the length of a football field across the Big Sioux River downtown between 6th and 8th streets. At the center of the Arc of Dreams is a 15-foot gap, 85-feet above the river, representing the leap of faith dreamers take to see their dreams come true. The angle is weird to me, the bridge seems to also we at a funny part of the river, all new to me in my life here. Born and raised here in Sioux Falls and welcome the attention art in the community. Low crime rate, but there are homeless wandering around in this area more than others. Make sure you walk down to the falls. Make the whole loop. It...
