We really enjoyed the rich arts, music, and educational culture of reading, which is Fundementall and Knowledge is Power, which is one of the first Christian schools for African (Black) Americans.

We rated your school 5 stars because you're one of Virginia's official history trail sites of historical tourism, experiences. Great for Black History Month visitors of all people who'd like to attend. Also, the tour guide was very informative. Sharing Smithfield rich history school of All ethnic and indengenous people groups and backgrounds. But, the best is... It's free to enter as well.

The Schoolhouse Museum is Smithfield’s hidden gem. The tour given by Mrs. Phyllis was amazing & moved me to tears as she spoke of the reality of those times for African Americans. I plan to return with my grandchildren so they can learn of the sacrifices made so that we are free to have an education. It’s a must see! Believe me you won’t be disappointed.
