Fleur De Fou — Local services in Smithfield

I was disappointed in the customer service & the product. I ordered a bouquet for delivery to someone local to the business, the bouquet looked NOTHING like the picture and even though I understood it could be changed slightly due to availability of flowers…I expected roses (or something comparable)…in a contemporary low-medium height arrangement (which is specifically what I chose and paid a lot of money for)…and I paid the up-charge for the “deluxe” bouquet. Not only were the flowers completely different (carnations & a few others…not a rose in sight), it was a different/higher height, looked more drab & traditional than contemporary & modern (which I chose purposely). When I contacted the florist twice to find out why the bouquet was drastically different, the manager was busy and NEVER returned my call, nor did the associate that answered the call both times offer any explanation. I wish I’d spent the substantial amount of money from our team somewhere else. I wanted very much to patronize a local/small business…but I will go with a more reliable recognizable chain next time. This florist! I cannot possibly begin to speak highly enough about the amazing talent and customer service of this business. Aside from the fact that their flowers are absolutely stunning, they truly have the customer at heart. Case in point- My first experience with this shop was the day before my daughter's wedding. We had ordered flowers from a different florist in Norfolk and when we picked them up the bridal bouquet was completely wrong. I called Fleur De Fou in a panic because they were close and I was on a time crunch. The owner spent almost an hour reworking the bouquet and also built a groom's boutonnière to replace the sad one we had received. I was fully prepared to pay for his work and his time and his only charge was $20 for the boutonnière. I literally cried at his generosity and also was so thankful for his desire to make things right for my daughter- even though the original bouquet wasn't even his mistake! Jason and Joseph did the most amazing work for my Christmas wedding! I went to them with a general idea of what I was looking for, but I really lack the creative vision to pull everything together. I trusted them to use their artistic abilities to make our spaces gorgeous. When I walked into our reception space for the first time with my new husband, we were both completely stunned. Every feature, from the garlands around the fireplaces to the greenery-covered chandeliers, was stunning. What I really appreciated most was their artistry- they decorated spaces and tables with any extra greenery they had, which far exceeded my own vision and planning abilities. I cannot recommend their work...
