I avoided going to a hair salon for many years out of fear that they would not handle my hair with care like I would, and to my dismay my fears proved true. Although my stylist was kind it was clear she did not specialize in natural hair care despite her 20 years of experience. From the time she touched my head she continuously ripped through my hair. She made several insinuations about the state of my hair when the fact of the matter was she simply did not want to take the time to detangle it properly. Throughout my session it was clear that as a mature woman she neglected to keep up her skills, nor did she bother to take a note or two from the other natural hairstylists around her. My hair was an inconvenience to her time, patience and money. I should have left but after several years of focusing on educational and career advancement I'd really hoped to have found a quality weekly stylist for my whole family. This is not to insult nor attack the stylist. I appreciate the trimming tips and will take responsibility for whatever may of prevented her from doing her best work. I'd just like the stylist to know that she disappointed me when she handled my hair so recklessly. I came to get assistance in my hair's overall health. So this experience was a nightmare. The young lady had us to deliver the wig prior to installation and that was the first thing that was sketchy. One the day of installation now all of a sudden the wig isn't the same quality it's burning as she's trying to straighten it. So she now has to just flat iron it instead of styling it as promised. She asked if she should continue we said yes, because didn't have a backup plan. Upon installation she severely damaged my daughter's ear, she felt some pain but thought nothing of it. The bruise showed up the next day. It's my feeling that this was all a scam, the wig that she took was not the wig installated it was switched to one of lesser quality in order to get more money. I am loving this salon. I never had problems with my hair until about 2 years ago. I started taking blood pressure medicine (Lisiniprol) and within a month, I noticed my hair shedding and thinning. When I stopped taking the medicine, my hair started filling in within a few weeks. I am now on a new medicine and began growing back my hair about a year ago. My hair was really damaged. I didn't want a relaxer, so, I decided to start heat training. I go every 2 weeks and I see a major difference in my hair. It is so much healthier and growing! Patricia is my stylist.
