We're going through a horrific heat wave here in California, and I don't have an AC in my apartment. Because of Covid 19, many public places, such as our public library, are closed; places where people can cool off from this heat. I'm a teacher working from home and it's hard enough sitting in front of a computer all day; I don't need the heat to aggravate the situation more, but aggravate it did.||||Because I needed a cool place where I could work, I decided to book two nights at this motel. I chose this particular one because it's fairly close to my apartment and the price was "reasonable." All I needed was a clean room, a working AC and reliable Wifi. I only got one of three from my wish list.||||The room was disgustingly dirty: spider webs in the bathroom, dirt and grime underneath the vanity, filthy chairs, filth everywhere. I wasn't able to shower because the shower head wasn't working. I only got running water from the tub faucet, and I wasn't about to sit in that tub. The wifi worked fine when I first checked in and during most of the day the second day, but then it went dead. There was no way I was able to connect using their wifi so I ended up using my hot spot for my first class, and then I came right back home where I at least have running water, reliable wifi, and a clean place to sleep. The AC worked fine, but it's too bad that this place is so rundown. ||||The motel usually serves breakfast, whatever it is they serve, but because of the state regulations due to the pandemic we're going through, breakfast, ice and the pool were unavailable.||||I'm was very happy to burn rubber and come back home, albeit to a very hot apartment. Two nights was more...
Read moreHands down WORST PLACE I've ever been in! Staying here ruined my vacation. I was here with family, 7 adults, two toddlers, and an infant. Right when we walked in the room we were hit with a strong stench of cigarette smoke, the floors were so dirty our feet turned black after walking around for 1 minute!(no I'm not exaggerating), the head boards were full of greasy finger marks (who knows what happened...yuck), one of bathroom sinks were clogged, the shower heads had so much lime scale the shower experience couldn't even be considered to be a decent experience, the towels had stains from who knows what, and the bed was also stained! Oh also for their free WiFi, I was in the top room nearby the office and I only had one bar! And it fluctuates between one bar to no bars of service, I rather use my cellular data. This by far is absolutely the worst place I've ever stayed. If it hadn't been so late at night (2am) my family and I would've never settled for such a place like this. I couldn't bear to put my bare feet on the floor I had to borrow my brothers sandals during my entire stay. The area around here was super shady with very narrow parking too my bnl even commented "this looks like a place people would sell drugs, pimp out people, and do sex trafficking. This is not a safe place for families." For $180 for two rooms I rather put in another $100 for cleaner and better experience...
Read moreI am a flight attendant and regular tenant at this location. The managment is very friendly and accommodating. The check-in lobby is beautifully spotless and there appears to have been more upgrades to the rooms. I stay for 8 days. In my first room the TV volume would not go up past 5 so I just put in a maintenance report and they changed my room. A little more detail when it comes to cleaning the rooms. When I first got into the new room the was long hair by the trash bin in the bathroom. But, days after the cleaning was done well. Once the ladies know what you need they come and check on you even if you did not request service.
Good ice from the ice machine. The room coffee is not too shabby and the beds are pretty comfy although the pillows in my second room were not the same as the first. Plenty of complimentary parking.
The area is one of my favorites. A car is optional in this area. everything you need is walkable. The Azelea Center has a Walmart, Ross, Ulta, Forever 21, Marshalls and restaurants. You name it. Each corner has a gas stations, 7 Eleven, Tierra Mia and The Pancake Corner has good breakfast.
Driving, The Citadel Outlets are 14 minutes North. Long Beach is 30 minutes straight south down Atlantic Ave or the 710 South. Target and Boba Time is just 12 minutes East over the freeway over pass. It is a dream urban area with a...
