I was originally given room 102……and if you ever wanna have nightmares……you oughtta check out that room. The bed?…..is so old and grosss…..it has the shape of a giant obese human, permanently formed in the bed, with actual holes where the springs have broken and stabbed through the top, and a HUGE urine stain, surrounding this canyon on the bed. Not realizing how gross the bed was because I had just come from a doc appt and was drugged……I tried to lay on the other part of the mattress, just needing to rest. It was impossible not to roll int the giant void. I went to the front desk. And asked for a different room. I was switched without anyone ever looking at my room, and given 107. Which had a nice bed but no flip lock to secure the door. The door also doesn’t latch unless you are very forceful, pushing or pulling hard against the door. Without doing this each time, you can simply push the door right open with little effort, and zero slide lock to stop this from happening. That’s when the barking dogs started. And the barking continued, in spite of me going back tothe front desk…..until 623 am when I checked out, COMPLETELY OUT OF MY MIND, without sleep. The new front desk guy tells me he will get with the manager and get my room “comped”. When I got home from my trip, there’s no refund on my card so I call. “J” the manager, tells me he will have to get with the staff because no one made a note about me getting a refund for my room. Two days later I get an email from him, telling me, “You are precious to us, so I’m refunding half your room stay.” When ten days later that refund still hasn’t come through, I call J again. He tells me, “I have refunded you in the form of Choice Privledge Points, so you can use it on your next stay.” I tell him I bought the room with MONEY, and that’s what I want back. He refuses. So I hang up and immediately called Choice Privledges Customer Care….who immediately agree to refund all my money. As they have me on hold doing that, they call the hotel, and miraculously, J has a change of heart and refunds me half my room fee. So Choice Privledges only had to refund me the other half.
If you want REST, need a SAFE ROOM WITH A PROPER FLIP LOCK, or need Wi-Fi,….. or if the repeated sound of barking dogs stresses you out, if you want an honest business who will refund you IN MONEY FORM for the trouble and service you didn’t get, THIS IS NOT THE HOTEL FOR YOU TO CHOOSE. The Wi-Fi signal is busy constantly ( only one person I saw ever got Wi-Fi access while I was there, and he had to stand next to the front desk with his laptop). The lack of Wi-Fi and barking dogs is a running theme in conversation amongst guests as I stayed.
I’d avoid the trouble, and stay elsewhere. Special thanks to Choice Privledges for being an HONEST business that TAKES CARE OF...
Read moreI was trying to book a stay thru the choice hotels app points plus cash for 5 nights. My mother in law was putting her card info down for incidentals so I decided to call choice directly to verify I wouldn’t run into issues, they informed me booking thru them I wouldn’t run into issues due to notes taken on my account for the stay while on the line with customer relations. The gentleman at the hotel upon checking in was decent but had to talk with his manager upon checking in. She can up and informed us of an authorization form that had to be filled out if my mother in law couldn’t physically come in. I told the manager I could call her via FaceTime and she could talk to her directly to verify the debit card I had presented of hers and she could verify her identity with her face and picture ID via FaceTime. She had denied and still wanted a form filled out. Went to have my mother in law sign it and she was not comfortable with an authorization form asking for card information. Instead she had me take the $70 I needed for an incidental hold to put in my bank account. Me, my fiancé, infant child and 2 other kiddos went back to check in. The manager left for the night, checked in and was very disappointed in the condition of the room upon entering. It smelt terrible, the mattresses were old and worn out. The bedding did not visually match what the photo gallery had showed online. Stains on sheets. We were all tired and decided we would just stay til morning. Before leaving at checkout time the manager kept walking up to the wing of our room as well as downstairs where we had parked closer to where our room was. We had been making important phone calls outside in our vehicle so we didn’t get interrupted. When leaving to check out the manager seemed to have changed her attitude towards me slightly. Checked out and went to load up my kiddos and asked one of them to run back to front desk and get a receipt. The receipt had had a balance on it when I paid entirely with points. Upon checking info on receipt I had noticed the info did not match that of my own so I went back in and informed her. I had to repeat my last name a few times before she could find my file for my stay. She had checked out another person in another room of the hotel without verifying it was in fact myself. I have never stayed at any choice hotel that had a manager be so sloppy and unprofessional. I tried to give her a chance and was decent with her even tho I feel my family had been treated poorly for no reason. And never once did she ask for my ID. The gentleman upon checking into hotel was the only one to do so, matching it with my debit card. Thanks for your time in reading this review. I hope I can be credited back my privileges points for a future stay at a trusted...
Read moreDONT stay here!!!! my boyfriend and i came here for valentine’s day. the pictures on hotel.com looked reasonable but cleanly. it was completely the opposite. we had gone snowboarding for the day and got to the hotel around little after 3pm, at our check in time. when we arrive the guy at the desk was very rude when i was very positive in my tone checking in. we got to our first room #108, it smelt like a stinky foot cigarette. i was trying to convince myself i was being picky, which i very much am not but it was too potent. i had my boyfriend go to the front desk and ask for a different room. the guy was rude about it but gave us a different room on the second floor with two beds, which would be sick if they weren’t in the middle of cleaning. we figured they’d be done soon so we set our stuff down and walked around to go see the pool. indoor pool is a very loose term. it’s a door to the outside that leads to a greenhouse with a pool, which would be really nice if it wasn’t winter. when walking back into the building from the pool there’s a door handle to get inside with two broken off screws above and below the handle, cutting my boyfriends hand, breaking skin and made him bleed. that unfortunately was the least of our problems. we got back to the uncleaned room and the cleaner told us to talk to the front desk because the room wasn’t clean. while walking back to the front desk there was two of the owners walking in and out of each room. which made me uncomfortable because they can barely keep track of which room is cleaned let alone which room was occupied. giving them the benefit of the doubt we give them a THIRD chance and again gave us another room key for room #209. they obviously put us in their “master suite” but the room STILL smelt like a stinky foot and did not look well kept. at that point we were willing to take the loss and lose $75 plus a $70 deposit for the sake of feeling safer and more cleanly. when leaving i decided to look at the reviews, which i should’ve done in the first place clearly. while deep diving it came to my attention that they have a infestation of cockroaches in the showers, behind the toilets, and in the beds. as well as a few customers feeling like their sheets weren’t cleaned. over all a 0/5 experience but it won’t allow me to rate it lower. i understand being tight on money but at that point they need to just close the hotel if you cannot afford to give the customers what they paid for. seriously. spent the same exact price ($75) for a different hotel less than a mile away that was very cleanly with good customer service at the desk. we spent two hours of hell at the hotel just trying to get settled. wouldn’t recommend...
