A good place for a walk but that's it. If you're looking for somewhere to enjoy some water, I encourage you to go to a state park at a reservoir. There are houses everywhere. There is also security absolutely everywhere. I saw more security than visitors. The water level is extremely low so there isn't much point in fishing. But even if you try, they line the banks with tons and tons of tall aquatic plants and then the security follows you around and tells you off once you find somewhere to cast. The fishing was very good for a non-managed lake and I have taken my kids fishing their many many times. We have caught bluegill, sunfish, catfish and largemouth bass. My family enjoys going on walks around the lake in all kinds of weather.
