I ordered a standard hot latte - milk and espresso. They do not have size options...it's all one size only. The latte was good and frothy. The espresso was perfect. I did have to add my own sugar to it which adds a bit more effort on my end to make it right. I think the vibe is cool, and it was easy to sit and work on my laptop for a bit. The desserts looked good but I did not see any prices on or around them, so I didn't bother asking. Some feedback: The menu needs to have clear pricing. It should list the size of the coffee, and it should tell you how much it costs to add extra (i.e., flavors, alt milks). The bagel started at $5.50, but cream cheese, tomatoes, avocado, and others were extra, and it did not state that on the menu. There was also a service fee added for cards ($.60 for a $5 coffee). I could've missed the memo but the only notice I saw for that was there is a discount for cash. It feels misleading and somewhat shady to not be transparent about the menu...
Read moreWanted to charge me for a milk substitute when they were out of whole milk. Wanted to charge .25¢ for balsamic on a sandwich. Bitter coffee. 20 mins wait for a bagel with avocado on it. Smallest turkey sandwich for $8.50. Table we sat at outside has pieces of the wood missing and it snagged my clothes. This place sucks.
Whoever responded to this post needs a lesson in hospitality, your cafe was not busy when we came in so there’s no excuse for spreading avocado on a bagel taking 20 minutes. Restaurants & cafes charge substitutions when it is by choice, when your cafe or restaurant is out of something the substitution is not charged. You’re choosing to keep tables that have entire pieces of wood missing from them, just purchase new outdoor seating and chill on the self righteous sarcasm. Not a good look for a business owner to talk down to customers when your business was the problem, not me. Not sure what else I expected from a small time coffee shop in daybreak...
Read morePretty good coffee and the coffee shop itself is cute. There are quite a lot of seatings both inside and outside but because of how small it is, it feels cramped. Like other coffee shops, there will always be someone with a laptop working there and occupy the space regardless of how busy it is (and some people might not be able to find empty seat). They also allow dogs which I really appreciate. This coffee shop is where the Daybreak Farmer Market is in the summer and there are people who take their dogs to the market regardless of how hot it is (crazy) and this place can be the lifesaver. One improvement they need is that they need to change their stoppers for the cup immediately. They are currently (12/2024) not using a plug and use some sort of sticker as stoppers. You can see the remaining glue when you peel it off and I’m not sure how safe it is to sip a hot coffee that will definitely melt and wash that glue...
