On Friday night (2/17) my Century Link internet service that is included in the HOA quarterly dues stopped working. HOA office closed. Called HOA emergency phone number- was told issue will take 48 hours (Monday) to resolve! Also the internet service fee is not included in the HOA dues (WHAT!).
Message my computer ānonpayment- call to pay....ā, called Century Link Daybreak assigned phone number, representative and supervisor both state they are been getting calls on this issue., there is nothing they can do to resolve until Daybreak Association management resolves payment issue. Asked and spoke with Chris, manager on duty. He checked and confirmed my Century Link account is under the Daybreak HOA contract. He can not āunlock to restore service, but will put in a ticket to override... may or may not workā. Chris even called the Daybreak emergency number and was told the same thing- ā48 hrs to resolveā.
Called the Daybreak emergency number again, asked for the Daybreak HOA manager on duty. Received a call from the Daybreak Emergency number vendor that the HOA manager would not be calling me - the answer is the issue can not be resolved until Monday (48 hrs). I said to tell the HOA manager on duty, this is a breach of contract and I expect a call tonight.
I receive a call from āDonā, the Daybreak HOA manager on duty. His tone and attitude was not professional and rude. Said there is nothing he and the Association can do until Monday. Told āDonā to have Cindy Spillane, Daybreak HOA executive director to call me and was told that was not possible and I should email Cindy (Hello, no internet service š¤Ŗš«š¤)
Daybreak HOA Staff and management is a joke. No...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe've been in daybreak for 15 years now. The worst part is the way the HOA takes action amd enforces its policies. We've had photos of our side landscaping taken stating, remove the weeds. It's a flowering vine. My wife showed pics and the warning was rescinded. We built a pergola over 5 years ago. Followed the HOA guidelines to the letter. We added a small freestanding grill cover at the same time. $200 from Lowes. Now 5 years later we're being told to remove it or pay the fee so they can decide if I can keep it or not. The house behind me was in rough shape. It stayed that way for years with no improvement. It was purchased by a single mom 2 years ago, and she invested so much. Landscaping, paint, fixtures - it's beautiful inside and out. Now, the HOA is harassing her on "unapproved" items to the point she's going to put the house on the market. I love my home and where I live. I believe in the premise of the HOA. They need to be willing to work "with" the residents, no against them. Reach out and talk to people before sending clandestine people to take pictures. An HOA should be the supportive arm of the residents - not the totalitarian overseers. If the HOA invested time in outreach, they could gain the support and funding needed to expand their team to do more collaborative good work. Again, I do love Daybreak and believe in an HOA, but its process here and treatment of the residents needs to improve. I hope the governing committee takes this to heart and changes their processes so the entire Daybreak living experience is fantastic. BTW, I'm taking down my cover. Spending $75 to "hope" it's approved for a $200 cover...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been trying to request to have a fence put around our grass. Iāve reached out so many times through phone calls, emails, etc. and have talked to so many people about it. Itās been several months. Iāve only been given excuses and lies that my request has been passed on and I will be contacted by someone about it. I wrote an email to them expressing how I didnāt want to leave a bad review and never received a response. I really had hope they could turn around, but obviously that hope is gone.
A big snowstorm just hit and we pay them thousands of dollars a year to do yard maintenance and snow removal. And on the biggest snow day of the year, they made excuses as to why they couldnāt plow our alley/garage area covered with several feet of snow. I had to miss a day of work because we couldnāt get out. Itās now been over 24 hours, and when I called to have them adjust my fee for the month (because they didnāt provide the service Iām paying them for) she threatened to have me pay more?
I love the community here, but I wouldnāt wish this on anyone. I tell everyone I can not to move here just because of the lack of care for the residents. Even though we are the ones paying them to comply with their contracts. Unfortunately we canāt fire them. Itās...
