Pet Supermarket — Attraction in South Pasadena

I have a bearded dragon and have been searching for a better (closer) pet store to buy supplies and live food. I was disappointed in the small selection of supplies they had for lizards. They did have crickets and worms (which have been hard to find at other pet stores lately). I bought worms, which seemed slightly more expensive than the other 2 places I usually go (however I will have to double check that). The plus side was that the worms come in a container that they can live in for a few days, which is SO much easier than having to transport them in a plastic bag and then find your own storage container at home.

I dealt with two different staff members, who seemed annoyed when I asked where the crickets and worms were located, even though I'm pretty sure I was the only customer in the store and it was the middle of the day.

In the future, I'll only go back there for convenience purposes on days I don't have more time, but so far it seems the bigger chain store is still the way to go for...

Went to buy a fish for my depressed fish because his tank mate passed away. I was told the goldfish I selected was $50 because the type it is. Anywhere I looked I dont see this price. The boy working seemed very knowledgeable about fish but the lady told me that hes 18 and shes 50 so she knows more...I left crying think my fish will die because he is depressed. Went to petsmart bought the same breed of gold fish for $8. This lady was also rude snapping at the customer in front of us because his card wouldnt work and he wanted to use another card. She told him he couldn't use another card because his first card didn't work. They are obviously not trying to sell pets here. I feel like my price was marked up because she saw me buying a goldfish with a small child with me. I have a large established tank with only 1 goldfish and 3 cory cats they shouldn't judge if...

I went to the store to get Performatrin dry cat food. They were out of the formula I needed. “You’ll have to go to another store,” I was told. I went home but before heading out randomly to other (farther away) Pet Supermarkets, I called South Pasadena to ask them where it WAS in stock. (Should have done that when I was in there.) I was told they are out and they don’t know about other stores. I was, however, given a lesson on internet searches. “Go to Google; look up other Pet Supermarkets; and call them.” I know I can’t expect them to be Macy’s and call around other stores til they find my size but for the prices Pet Supermarket charges, you’d think they would train their employees to help customers find what...
