Good evening, I’d like to formally file a complaint against the employee working tonight at the GameStop 4959 South Plainfield NJ 07080. I walked in with my son around just before 730 looking to trade a phone and submit some cards to PSA. There was 1 employee behind the counter and another fixing shelves , the counter associate was helping customer when we walked in he finished with them and took on another. This customer was shopping for a handheld console the whole interaction took roughly 20 minutes or so .. by the time it was my turn for the trade in the employee stated that he could do my submission but not the phone trade because it was a lengthy process so he told me to come back another day I let home know that I planned to use the credit to put towards my submission he then when on and said that it was to late for him to help me but thanked us for being patient while waiting for him to finish up with the previous customer . So my question is why couldn’t I get the same level of service why was I told to come back another day because it was closing time ?, I redeemed a $25 in store credit while waiting for him to finish so that I could use as well. Why was my time less valuable then his , I’m a paying customer and shop this location consistently , I arrived with enough time to get what I needed to get done completed had he not taken so long with the last customer. I was patient and didn’t even complain about that when trying to complete my transaction he also had another associate there he could of helped as well unless he was a trainee which in that case I’d understand. Read moreLet me start of by saying after the old store manager left this location (ken) this location just started going down hill. I walk in and start browsing around I was greeted by one person but that was it. While I was browsing around a customer called to get inventory information on a game and as the young man is getting the information on it the young lady next to him is telling him to tell them that they don't have it in stock, because she wanted to buy the last one in stock. She proceeds to thank him and that she doesn't care if that person has to go to another location that last copy was going to be for her. I then went to get some information on a product to see if they have it for another console. And when I asked they both didn't want to check they system for availability. The young lady tells the young man to Google it and he did exactly what she said, I then asked to see the product because he claimed it was compatible which it wasn't then made him check the system. Shortly after he was apologizing because they did have it in stock but not in display, asked what other stores had it in stock he provided that information and left. Overall the customer service is very poor and because of them choosing not to provide proper customer service they lost out of 300+ dollars on that product for the lack of professionalism they had and will keep losing money if they continue to lie to customers for their own personal needs and so I rather go somewhere else and buy...

I had a warranty issue with my monitor that required multiple visits and assistance from Corporate. The staff, especially Anthony and the manager, Luc, were incredibly helpful. Luc went above and beyond, spending hours communicating with higher-ups to resolve the issue when their system couldn’t replace my monitor. Unfortunately, Corporate made the situation more difficult—they took almost a week to provide me with the return label, delaying the process and adding unnecessary frustration. To make matters worse, they falsely claimed that FedEx would pack the monitor if I showed them a QR code, but FedEx confirmed this wasn’t true. Despite these corporate missteps, Luc and his team handled everything with patience and respect. They even packed the monitor for me themselves using a box they had on hand.
