Truly dissatisfied. I went in on 10/29 (Tues) ordered 3 value mattresses, a box spring and a frame ($875.38) with delivery. Delivery date was for 10/31 between 9am and 5pm. Matthew was very quick, helpful and kind. No complaints there. After I walked out is when the trouble started. Wed night I get my estimated delivery time call and it sat 9am-11am, ok awesome morning time so not stuck waiting all day. Thursday morning at 7:52am I get another robo call and email, time of delivery arrival is in 1 hr and 15 min, great 9:15am. I then get a work call for a 10am meeting. Work is 15 min away, I should be more then good. We wait.. and wait... and wait..no number to call and see where they are, it's 9:20, 9:30, 9:45... finally I have to leave for work so I go. At 9:52 I receive a call for a number I don't know and it's a man saying he is here. I lett him know I had to leave he is over 30 min late. Please just leave them on the porch I will be home soon and will stop at Mattress firm to sign for them. He asks me to call Mattress firm first. I said ok but they open at 10am and my meeting is at 10am so I will only get 1 call in. I can text you proof I am asking you to leave then and will accept all responsibility. He says ok and hangs up. I call Mattress firm at 10am but no answer. During my meeting I missed a call from another strange number so after I call it back. No answer but its texts me "Call Yolanda, thank you" I respond "I do not know who this or Yolanda is, who is this" the response from the number was just a phone number. So I called it and got Yolanda, Manager for Mattress firm deliveries. I explain what has happened, that I have no idea if my mattresses are even on my porch, and need re-delivery right away if not. She apologies for how rude the guy on the phone and texts were as they should have been more detailed and helpful, let's me know I can go or call my Mattress firm to reschedule right away and asks that I screen shot and text her all the correspondence so she can note the account. She let's me know they should never have been so late or at least should have called when they noticed they were going to be late and I will not be charged for re-delivery. I thank her and head to Mattress firm. I speak 2ith a gentlemen who let's me know because I am trying to change delivery same day his system will not allow it so he will note the account and tell his co-worker to fix it in the morning first thing, they will now be delivered on Saturday..... ok I sign off and leave. No calls, no emails no show jo nothing Saturday so today I call Mattress firm and am very very not happy. I get put on hold for 10 min (which the gentle who answered spoke so fast I didn't even realize I was on hold) then called back and spoke with him (I do not want to butcher his name, behind with a H) I started explaining what happened and I can tell he is not concerned. I let him know at this point if they can not deliver today I am just going to cancel and use Amazon which would not only be here tomorrow but cost half the price for better mattresses. He laughs and tells me to call him in 3 months if I want to try the Amazon ones but I'll regret it. Mind you the 10in memory foam ones I have now ordered for $139 each, I had before I moved and LOVED THEM!! He didn't even try to listen to me when I tried to explain this. The 5in $179 "Value" mattresses they were going to give me can't compare. He didn't even give me a cancellation confirmation just said he has costumers and will get to it, I'll see it in 3-5days... then PUT ME ON HOLD WITHOUT SAYING ANOTHER WORD!! I only did this person as I was hopeful they would be faster and less hassle them setting them up myself like I did 4 yrs ago, I learned that lesson, better to do it myself then pay for service! He was making jokes with me and my boyfriend trying to assist us but he did mention something about drinking/ beer and alcohol twice. So we sat down with him to see if we could get a better price and he said he was giving us a "family/friend" price. Once my boyfriend and I decided we'll just wait to keep looking around since we just decided to go there only because we were going into Party City and also because it was 7pm and we were not going to purchase a mattress set 1 hour before the store closed. We were not in any rush to purchase a mattress set right away. My boyfriend was nice and got up from his seat and said no thank you, we'll come back if anything and he tried to shake the Salesman hand. The salesman named DAVID wave his hand out (like is he was telling a dog to go away) and moved his hand out the way to avoid shaking my boyfriend's hand. My boyfriend just looked at me and told me come on let's just leave and so we walked out. That was very childish of David the Salesman and rude and so disrespectful to a customer. Now it could be because my boyfriend was African American but this salesman refused to shake his hand. If it was possible I would have given this store a negative rating. We were actually thinking of going back another day when we had more time but after that happening there is no way in hell we will be coming back and I will let everyone I know not to ever go there. This was my first time purchasing a mattress for myself by myself (not really I was with my bf). And we didn’t think we would find something but I stand corrected. The salesman who had helped us was Hamza and he was super informative. You can tell his goal was to find us the perfect mattress that fits our needs. It’s just something you can tell right off bat that he had cared more than making a sale. He gave us information on the types of mattresses, he listened to what we had to say and he had asked questions. At the end, he was able to help us out so much and had gotten us the perfect mattress at an affordable cost. If that’s not the perfect salesman/employee of the month, I honestly don’t know what is. He was so funny too, he got so excited when he did his research and found our perfect mattress for us.
