Fast forward to June 23/2023. Had a dinner with our friends here. As previously stated food here still taste great. Couple of issues though. SC has started charging credit card processing fees. Who does that In restaurant business. On top of that they charged mandatory 18% gratuities on party of four or more. Unless you are small mom and pop retail business, no one charged credit card processing fees. Whole word is conversing over to digital payment and the owner of the restaurant should know this unless he is oblivious to what goes around the world. Just for this reason I wouldn’t recommend this place. 2.99% credit card fees adds up pretty fast. After eight months decided to go for indoor dining Restaurent at SpIce Culture the Indo-Chinese Restaurent who’s ownership has been changed and it used call NanKing. Same decor, menu has been changed to include more northern punjabi dishes. Went to check the place first to see how the seating arrangement were. Spice culture followed the CDC guideline and Restaurent only had 25% table capacity nicely arranged six feet away and in each corner. We ordered indo-Chinese and one punjabi dishes. From the taste of the food I can tell that kitchen staff were same with some addition and deletion. Regardless food was extremely tasty, same as when we used to visit the place pre covid. Chanchal was our host, quiet entertaining and was prepared to service the Restaurent patrons with smile and excellent reception. Initially we were hesitant to eat inside, but when we sat for dinner and during our two hours stay, we saw couple of folks came in for dinner but due to the setup of tables, we were all in our each corner which made me feel good. Great Restaurent with tasty food and good service. Would recommend dining here as long as you feel safe for you and your family.

Partner and I were craving different cuisines last night and thought coming across Spice Culture was a godsend. Where else would we satisfy our Indian, Chinese and Thai cravings in one sitting? We arrived just before 6:30pm and had nearly the entire place to ourselves. Initial service was prompt, quickly serving up water, menus and even our orders. Partner enjoyed his tikka masala chicken, though was surprised the $20 dish did not come with rice. This is rarely the case at most places we frequent, including his favorite restaurant in midtown Manhattan. Thankfully, he had the foresight to order garlic naan, which paired very nicely with his dish and sauce. From the happy noises he made, I could tell the chicken and naan were tasty choices. As for me, while I marveled over the quick service for my hot and sour soup, and the vegetarian pad Thai, that’s were the excitement stopped. Yes, the soup was hot, a good level of spicy, but lacked the sour, and was missing the mushrooms noted on the menu. More disappointing and surprising was the vegetarian pad Thai, which came out orange, and tasted tangy and sickeningly sweet. Not quite sure what the waiter brought out, but it sure wasn’t Pad Thai like I’ve ever had before. I asked our waiter to bring hot sauce in hopes of cutting through the sweetness, and despite him making a show of asking the back for it, it never materialized. I struggled through a few more bites, but ultimately left the bulk of an otherwise impressively full plate of noodles sitting on the table. Thanks Spice Culture, for an interesting meal, one we shall not be repeating.

"Desi ghee-wala butter chicken with lachedaar parantha for dinner! Hi, guys! Another favorite of mine from Spice Culture in South Plainfield. The chicken is marinated overnight and grilled to perfection in a tandoor. The diced chicken is simmered in a spicy, and creamy tomato gravy with oodles of Desi ghee.

Time for a flavor check - Spicy, aromatic, nutty, and creamy! The Desi ghee adds another layer of richness, making it one of the most decadent version of butter chicken that you will find in New Jersey!

Piping hot American chopsuey to warm your soul on this cold winter evening! Hi guys, I'm at Spice Culture in South Plainfield, the mecca of Desi Chinese in New Jersey!

Chopsuey roughly translates to odds and ends or an assorted mix, and here at Spice Culture, they generously stir fry veggies and chicken chunks in a sweet and spicy sauce, finally topping it off with a half-fried egg!

Let's do a flavor check— load up a big bite! Irresistibly crunchy, tangy yet sweet, and spicy! The soulful sauce , the tender chicken chunks, and the perfectly crunchy noodles. Totally yum!

One of finest Indian restaurants in NJ that serves authentic Indian, mughlai , thai and chinese food. From kebabs to butter chicken to thai curry to hakka noodles, everything on the menu is just absolutely delicious.

As you wander around south plainfield area, this hidden gem is located in a busy shopping area that houses all big retail stores. Parking is easily available and the big hoardings ensure you can find Spice Culture. They are open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner.

It's an Indian fine dining restaurant that has an ambient cozy setup with a bar that has some nice flavorful cocktails. Their chicken, mutton and fish curries are absolutely to die for.

The staff is very attentive and warm and I would highly recommend reservations on weekends. Weekdays you can walk in.

They love live performances on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights. Bollywood songs and karaoke keeps this place alive and the food just adds to the atmosphere.

I've eaten here multiple times with friends and family and my absolute favorite is there green thai curry with fried rice. My next favorites are the chicken dishes, you can order any appetizers or entree and you wont go wrong. Tandoori platters and sizzlers are a crowd pleaser.

Kidaaa New Jersey Valeo,

Aajao mere naal to one of my favorite spots in jersey that serves mughlai, desi Chinese , indo thai and indian inspired cocktails all under one roof!

Is se badia khana, peena aur gaana bajana apko jersey main to nai milega! Ready ho fir? To aa jao!

Welcome to Spice culture in South Plainfield ! This is one of my top picks for a lively dinner and its a perfect cosy date night spot for couples!

Here are my top favorites-

Holi aane wali hai aur rang barsasne wale hai! To ek drink to banti hai na! Hanji!

Inspired by the kala khata gola - the kala khata margarita is a Punchy and tangy cocktail jo apko bachpan ki yaad dila degi!

Yaha ka desi chinese khana ek dam gazab hai- drums of heaven which are sweet and saucy crispy chicken lollypops se lekar schezwan hakka noodles to chili chicken to the american chopsuey!

For those who love indo thai- the green thai curry with white rice is just a banger!

For those who love mughlai food- try the traditional makhani and butter chicken with lachedaar parantha! Also not to miss is the chicken and goat dum pukht biryani!

Spice Culture has live music on Wednesday, Friday and Sundays evenings! To aa jao fir for khana, peena and gaaan bajana!

The restaurant is kid friendly and families love it. Even dishes from down south are done well here. They have a huge team of chefs from all parts of India.

Finally they have a special- the crispy red snapper. If you love fish, you got to try this....

A Hidden Gem in South Plainfield – An Unforgettable Experience at Spice Culture!

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but after my recent experiences at Spice Culture, I just had to share. From dining at the restaurant to hosting my son’s 5th birthday party in their banquet hall, everything was simply outstanding.

Restaurant Experience: Spice Culture delivers one of the most authentic and delicious Indian dining experiences I’ve ever had in New Jersey. The food is absolutely phenomenal – rich in flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm smile by the front staff who are not only friendly but also incredibly attentive and supportive. The entire restaurant is neat, clean, and extremely well-maintained, which really enhances the overall dining atmosphere. Hats off to the management – their attention to detail and commitment to excellence are clearly reflected in every aspect of the service. They truly care about creating a memorable experience for their guests.

Banquet Hall Experience: We also booked their banquet hall to celebrate my son’s 5th birthday, and I couldn't have asked for a better venue. The service was above and beyond expectations. The management worked closely with us and went out of their way to ensure that everything was perfect. Their dedication to giving customers full value for their money is evident in how smoothly the event ran. The support staff was exceptional – courteous, professional, and highly efficient. The hall itself is spacious, beautifully decorated, nicely designed for parties and very well maintained, offering a perfect backdrop for any celebration.

Final Thoughts: Spice Culture is without a doubt in the Top 3 Indian restaurants in New Jersey. It’s a hidden gem in South Plainfield that deserves all the praise it gets and more. Whether you're planning an intimate dinner or a large celebration, you can trust that you'll receive top-tier service, incredible food, and an experience your guests won’t stop talking about.

I highly recommend Spice Culture to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience or a flawless event venue. You won’t be...
