REGAL THEATRE IN SOUTH PLAINFIELD HAS MICE. Yes you read that right. Mice. I went to the 1:10 PM showing today of King of Kings with my daughter who is under 10. We showed up a few minutes after the movie began. I purchased a large popcorn, got our tickets scanned and we were on our merry way. We entered the theatre of which we were the only ppl. I picked the first row that begins the upper level seats for us to sit. I inspected our seats and got my daughter settled with our popcorn. Being that we were sitting on the first row of seats after the lower level, the partition is in front of of us that is lighting the pathway to walk. As I look over to my daughter, I see in the corner of the partition something scurry across to the corner. Initially I thought no, that cannot be what I think it is. However, sure enough the mouse came out once more scurrying along the lighted partition and then back into the corner once more. I stood up quickly, told my daughter we were leaving and promptly headed to the concessions stand to inform the gentlemen that mice are running around the theatre. They were apologetic, and stated they would get their manager. The manager came and was apologetic as well. He refunded the popcorn, however did not successfully refund the tickets due to an error he stated he was receiving on their POS screen. He took my number and stated he would contact me once his manager came in. He also gave me 3 free passes to any Regal cinema he stated as a concession. (I won't be using them after this experience.) He called me about 45 minutes later and stated that they were able to refund the tickets back to my card. Again he apologized. I am LIVID. WHY? I am livid because this should NOT be happening. Mice should not be scurrying around AT ALL in an establishment much less freely despite traffic of people. This is upsetting and gross. Food is served here and the mice have a playground. There is no way that people should have to be exposed to this. This location has been in South Plainfield since before my adulthood. They have more than made the money needed to reinvest. Mice are not safe and breed a number of diseases. What if it had crawled on or bitten my daughter or I, what then?? This is ludicrous and absolutely unacceptable. While all the gentlemen involved were polite and apologetic, they are not responsible for the overall upkeep including extermination of this place. This is on REGAL, period. Unless you want mice enjoying your popcorn and snacks with you, I'd steer clear of this theatre.

Watched the Malayalam movie (Indian) Malaikottai Vaaliban. The screen was smaller as compared to other auditoriums, which is expected, as there were less number of seats. But the screen wasn't clear at all. Had doubts on the sound quality while playing the Ads initially, but it was just due to the audio quality of the ads. The movie had decent quality audio. But the screen was neither bright nor clear at all. This movie has been appreciated for its visual quality and beautiful frames, hence this is definitely an issue with the screen. There was an interval after 1 hr 20 minutes of the movie, which is expected for any Indian movie. The lights were ON. But there was no pause, the movie continued playing. No break was understandable, as there were not too many people watching the movie. But the worst part of all is that the lights were still ON!!! Was expecting it to be turned off at least after the 10-15 minutes planned break. But that never happened. The lights continued to be ON for the entire second half of the movie. Had to watch this visually beautiful movie on a blurred screen and the lights made it even worse. Such a huge disappointment. This was my first time at Regal. Wanted to try once before purchasing Regal Unlimited. Now, have to rethink..!

I recently visited Regal Hadley Theatre in South Plainfield and had a genuinely enjoyable experience. If you’re someone who values comfort while watching a movie, this theater delivers. The reclining seats are a major highlight—super comfortable and spacious, making it easy to settle in for even the longest films. The screens are large, and the sound quality was crisp, adding to an immersive experience overall. The theater itself was clean and well-kept, and it felt like the staff were trying to stay on top of things, even during a busy showtime. There was a bit of a wait at the concession stand, but nothing unbearable. The staff were polite and friendly, though it did seem like they could use a few extra hands during peak hours. One of the best parts is the location—right in the Hadley Center, with plenty of parking and lots of dining options nearby, so it’s easy to turn a movie night into a full evening out. While there’s always room for improvement, Regal Hadley does a great job of offering a comfortable and reliable moviegoing experience. I’ll definitely be coming back for my next big-screen fix!

On July 8, 2018 my mom and aunt took my kids to this theater for the 12:00 show of Incredibles 2 and unfortunately one of my kids got sick in the restroom. My mom asked at concessions for help -- she asked for an EMPTY popcorn bucket so my son would have something to hold in front of him in case he kept getting sick on the way out. Staff would not give her a bucket, they made her PAY $9.37 for an empty popcorn bucket. No one offered her a bag, no one made a judgement call to just give her a bucket for free. So she paid for the EMPTY bucket out of consideration for the theater. What kind of person makes a grandmother pay for an empty plastic popcorn bucket when she's struggling with a sick grandchild who might vomit on the theater floor? I can't believe she was treated that way. And for any person or moderator who thinks I shouldn't post a review because it's not my experience, you are incorrect. It IS my experience because I paid on my credit card for the 4 movie tickets. More importantly, when you mess with my mother and my kid, it's ALL MY EXPERIENCE. My mom deserves an apology and a refund for the EMPTY bucket, for which she kept the receipt.

Follow up: I did try (twice) to contact Regal via the link suggested in the company's reply to my review. No one has responded. I managed to Private Message Regal and the rep said they'd like to "make it right" with some movie passes, but then the messaging stopped -- they don't have my information so I'm not sure I'll ever...

I will never come to this theater again. When I got to the ticket checker she told us our movie was in theater 14. When we got to our seats someone was in them; shortly found out we were in the wrong theater. I walked back to the ticket checker and asked her what theater the movie I was seeing in (I gave her the movie time and everything). She tells me it’s in theater 8. We go and get in our seats after sitting in the theater for 10 mins (5 mins after our movie time was supposed to start or at least the previews since I know the movie doesn’t actually start at that time) and the screen is blank. My mom went back up to the ticket checker to confirm that we were in the right theater in which she said yes. Shortly after the previews started playing. Then a group comes up and says we are in their seat and that they are seeing the 8:10 movie but we had tickets off the 8:00 movie. They got a manager come who FINALLY told us that our theater was actually 13. The staff did nothing to apologize for their mistake after the ticket checker gave us wrong information 3 times!! Thankfully our movie hadn’t started yet even though it was 8:20 now, we sit down in our seats and my seats recline doesn’t work! I will NEVER go back to this theater, they are completely unorganized and do not seem to care about their patrons experience. Might have to drive a little to go to another theater but I promise it’ll be worth it so you don’t have to see a movie here and deal with incompetent...
