I am very disappointed with the management in this store. My family has shopped here for a few years and we are loyal customers. I bought my son Vans for school and after a month and a half, the sneaker started to separate from the rubber bottom. This is a clear defect. Vans are usually dependable. Clearly they have a good reputation, especially in the skateboarding community. So that being said, this pair was defective. When I brought the sneakers back to return them, the manager said that didn't want to take them back because they were worn already and dirty. Common sense was totally absent. One sneakers are worn, they aren't put on a mantle to be displayed only. Secondly, they weren't dirty. They weren't pristine either. What difference does that make?? THEY ARE DEFECTIVE!! The manager on duty didn't care when I told him that my family shops here and are loyal customers. He clearly doesn't understand that customer loyalty is worth more than a fifty dollar pair of sneaker, that they paid alot less for. All I wanted was an even exchange or a store credit. He wasn't having any of it. The store associate that I initially approached was more professional than the manager. Shame on you Famous Footwear. You lost a loyal customer for peanuts...

Like any other curbside, I parked in the very first spot of the parking lot. Target, Best Buy, Walmart all have designated curbside spots.
After watching the employee walk outside, look both ways, and walk back in. I decided to just go inside myself to grab the order.
Once walking inside, I instructed the employee that I had a curbside order in which I was met with an attitude. The employee stating “Well you were not on the curbside.” Mind you, the curb is a fire lane in which you cannot park.
Regardless of what it is, I walked inside to just grab my order not be berated by some lazy employee having a bad day. How are you going to work a customer service job with a nasty attitude? We bought a pair of shoes at Watchung location. We tried it over there and it seemed to be fine. However, we figured out that there was a better color at South plainfield location and we returned this one the next day. The lady at front desk saw the sole and said that it has been worn and she can't take it. There was no sign of it being worn except that there was dust on the sole. We were surprised and came out. I cleaned the sole with wet tissue and returned back to the store . There was no way she could reject it now. She inspected the shoe multiple times before accepting the return. So guys, beware- the store itself is good, it has good selections, but when you try to work with them it is on the down side.
