I’d like to comment on our recent buying experience my wife and I had at Jordan’s, Maine Mall, South Portland.

We’ve gone to several other furniture stores, and many are good. But Jordan’s was the best.

This was all made possible because of our sales professional, Michael Walsh.

Customer service may or may not make or break a sale, but it absolutely determines future sales and customer loyalty. We are proud to say we are now loyal Jordan’s Furniture customers.

Michael was attentive, friendly, let us work through our decision making, had prompt answers, and good suggestions. We had a list of items we wanted to see, and he brought them up on the store computer and arranged the list so we could walk directly to each piece.

Not only that, but after our sectional selection, we wanted to find a coffee table, so Michael suggested we take an accent pillow and do a walk through in the store while he prepared our sale & delivery documents.

The best part was that he would find us in that big show room wherever we were with updates.

His follow ups on the telephone were right on time and very helpful.

I extend my highest recommendation to anyone who asks me when looking for new furniture, that they should see Michael.

I’ll quickly comment that the display and staging of all your furniture makes it very easy to visualize any particular piece in a home setting. The store is bright clean and spacious. We really enjoyed walking around.

The furniture choices are excellent, and we decided on a sectional and bedroom set that we love. It screams quality and looks wonderful. We’ve got a few other pieces w need so we will look to Jordan’s to fill it.

Last, the delivery came at right 9 am , right on schedule. Impressive! No waiting in a large block of times they called in advance to tell us eta’s.

White glove and very helpful, they took off their shoes as it was raining. Set up was a breeze and every piece of furniture was in 100% factory new shape.

In closing, I know it’s leadership that makes the organization run the way it does, and the phone call from the owner in Massachusetts lets me know that Jordan’s Furniture is an outstanding place to do business.

My husband and I recently decided it was time to upgrade our couch and turned to Jordan’s Furniture. Our previous couch, also from their factory store, had served its purpose, but we were ready for something that better suited our home and lifestyle—especially with how often we host guests.

When we arrived, we honestly didn’t expect to walk out having purchased a new sofa. We planned to just browse, get a feel for what we liked, and maybe check out a few other stores. At first, we tried to avoid any sales associates so we could look around and chat privately. Then we met Maureen—and we’re so glad we did.

Maureen was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. My husband explained what we were looking for, and she immediately got to work. I wasn’t sure I wanted input from a salesperson, but I’m genuinely so thankful we crossed paths with her. After expressing interest in one sectional, I told Maureen about a few other features I wanted, and she took us around the store until we found the couch.

The moment we saw it, we were stunned—it was beautiful, spacious, and unbelievably comfortable. Maureen walked us through all the customization options, current deals, and financing plans. She even explained how we could order the couch as-is and still have the option to customize the fabric later if we changed our minds.

After purchasing, we got home and realized our living room might be smaller than we thought, and I started to panic that the couch wouldn’t fit. Maureen actually called me and patiently walked me through the measurements again to put my mind at ease.

I went to Jordan’s for the first time to look for living room furniture with two of my sisters. I had been procrastinating for years because I had no idea what I wanted or where to start. Nobody pounced on us as soon as we entered the store, which I appreciated. We browsed for a short while and just as I was getting overwhelmed with all the choices, Mimi Arnold approached us, introduced herself, and asked if we needed any help. I showed her a few photos I had taken on my phone and she quickly made a sketch of the room with several pieces in a configuration she thought might work. It’s a good sized area in an open space concept, but it’s a bit tricky with lots of windows, a slider, a fireplace, and only one wall where the TV can go. Her plan gave me some confidence, and we began by choosing a sofa. Mimi did a great job narrowing down the options with a few simple questions, and she encouraged me to actually try out the sofas by sitting/lying on them the way I would at home. Once the sofa was chosen, we looked at fabrics. Mimi pulled a bunch of samples, and we settled on one fairly quickly. Then we were off to look for swivel rockers. Mimi has a great sense of style, and made excellent suggestions without being pushy. I got a leather chair and cocktail ottoman too which would never have been on my radar, but for her expertise. She really is a pro at the design thing, and her assistance made an intimidating process actually enjoyable. Three hours later, my sisters and I were celebrating our success with apps and wine! I guarantee you I could never have done it without Mimi! I am looking forward to my new furniture arriving and I will not hesitate to shop at Jordan’s again, but I will definitely...
