Phillip William. Salon. — Local services in South Salt Lake

This is not a review for the salon but the stylist I booked with. If I could give 0 stars or negative stars I would. I have never been treated this way by a stylist before in my life. I booked an appointment with Alyssa for a root touch up, nothing major… but what I left with was. When I came to the salon I had a few inches of natural growth but the rest of my hair was a very golden/honey/caramel blonde. When I left the salon my hair was darker from roots to ends as well as a super ashy color (which I specifically asked not to be). I reached back out to Alyssa who said it would be a simple fix “just pulling out the toner and re-toning with a light color.” I made another appointment which resulted in my hair becoming slightly lighter but not at all what it was before and ended up receiving more damage to my ends in the process. I did give each time about a day or so in between but was ultimately unsatisfied that I not only received the opposite of what I came in for but also that the session ruined the blonde color I had at my ends during what was supposed to be a root touch up. I reached out again for a refund rather than continuing to damage my hair to try and correct the mistake. I was willing to leave her my tip along with the cost of of the cut I received and be refunded the rest for the color mistake but she refused and only refunded me a portion of my payment and told me “most stylists would not even refund this large of an amount and she would not be...

I have been with Thomas Welsh now sinse 1992! I have followed Thom from a Salon on 700 e. to a Salon on 15th and 15th in the Yale Harvard area. When they moved i followed him to 11th east! Then I followed him when he moved to Phillip Williams. Thomas is a highly skilled stylist who has been asked by Companies by doing shows all over on various models! to market their brands! Particularly with RUSK whom I love!

Phillips Salon is ever changing with the times! As it should!

Phillip greats me like I am someone important! (not) . But it's the fact he treats me like i am.

I met Phil over 15 years ago at a special event before he started his own salon! He has always been extremely educated on hair- both the scientific aspects, as well as the trends. He literally researches everything. I recently had a baby and haven’t gotten my hair done in a while. Phil is the only person I could think of that I knew I’d be able to just walk into his salon, sit down, and be mindless in letting him take free reign over my hair so I wouldn’t have to direct or make decisions (as I feel sleep deprived) I could confidently let him do whatever cut and color he chose without being scared it might look terrible. I can’t think of anyone else I would trust to do this. I knew my hair would come out on trend, beautiful, and in great health! Thank you, Phil....
