Please note that this review is being laughed after I've given mys an hour or more to cool down. My boyfriend and I love this store we spend thousands upon thousands of dollars here weather it be gifts items for ourselves Etc... In addition to that my entire family and most of our friends also spend tons of money here. I feel that we personally could find a better website for Field & Stream w it is so slow and freezes constantly we try to take advantage of online only deals but then end up ordering items multiple times and having to cancel or getting so frustrated and missing out on the deals. I will say that they honored those prices if I go and pick them up at the store that day. So that's what I did today while there I inquired about kayaks that we had purchased well over a year ago The kayaks are brand-new have never been in the water and I literally being stored in the exact condition with all the stickers paperwork etcetera still intact and in perfect condition as when we bought them one of the reasons that we haven't used them is that my boyfriend truly wanted a more expensive kayak. While there I inquired about returning these kayaks knowing that there was a chance we probably could not. I was told everything from there's absolutely no returns on kayaks at all no matter what to just bring it in I'm sure we'll take care of it. I requested a manager because they suggested that was my best bet however they were busy not a big deal I left my phone number and never received a call my intention was do not simply return one of The kayaks what to swap it out for a much more expensive one so they were still making more money off of us however no one could even give me an answer and that's part of why this kayak fiasco has gone on this long. Keep in mind these were not cheap kayaks we spent well over $300 for each of them and are now looking to buy an additional one however after this s we will be spending our hard-earned money elsewhere. Read moreJust another bad experience in general as usual. It’s definitely the management and their arrogance today’s experience was just the final straw of many bad experiences their. Their ability to maintain stock verses other locations is pitiful, and I’m tired of hearing pandemic and “navigating unprecedented times” this is the only location suffering supply chain issues at this point. I get inundated with spam emails from them about vine but this and come by that and every time I take time out of my busy schedule to patronize the store they are always cleaned out. I’ve personally seen them stash ammo behind the counter that they hold for people buying firearms verses those of us who are in there everyday. And I know this because I first was in to get ammo and was dealing with one salesperson and ended up seeing a deal I couldn’t pass up on a firearm of the same caliber the was almost impossible to find due to the pandemic and at the point I was dealing with a different salesman and he asked if I needed any ammo to go with it, abd I said, I thought you guys were out and had been out for days (because that’s what I was told earlier) and he went on to tell me that they hold over ammo for their firearm sales. And I could cite 3-4 other issues since the store changed hands from field n stream that will now have me doing all my business online at other retailers...
Read moreTerrible firearm buying experience. I decided to take advantage of the Black Friday deals on a particular firearm. I went in on Black Friday expecting a crowd. I knew what gun i wanted upon entering the store. It took about a half hour to be waited on (which i expected) but what i didnt expect was the lengthy process to check out. The website that is used to run background checks was "down." Not Field and Streams fault...what was their fault was the absolute chaos that ensued. Employees weren't communicating with customers, their was no protocol or secondary plan in place for handling such a circumstance. I offered to pay and come back later for the firearm. I took almost 3 hours to walk in and purchase a firearm. An associate called me the following day stating that my paperwork cleared and all i had to do was come in a sign some forms and i was all good. I showed up about 6pm the following day, again, ZERO communication with the customer. Waited almost 30 minutes before anyone helped me. Told some of the staff or my experience, no one seemed to care, no apology or anything. Took almost an hour to sign two forms. I will never purchase a firearm from there again. I understand that it was Black Friday but the customer service was awful. This experience was not worth the money i saved. Ill buy local...
