I really enjoyed the seafood Alfredo. The scallops and shrimp were both tasty, and i love how they remove the tails from the shrimp before putting them into the pasta. It's really annoying how many restaurants don't bother to do that, because i don't like having to call timeout every time i have a bite of shrimp (to pull the tail off before proceeding to eat it). Also, the Alfredo sauce was fine, and it was a hearty, filling portion.
My mother got stuffed shells or manicotti, i can't recall exactly which, but i had a bite of it and it was also good.
We tried some manner of Italian donuts for dessert, and they were really good. They tasted similar to funnel cake, which is fine for me because funnel cake is awesome. And they are served with hot, melted chocolate sauce in one cup and hot, melted caramel sauce in another cup. Both sauces worked well with these Italian donuts.
I believe our waiter was named Cameron. He had a great attitude with plenty of positive energy, and he was very friendly and courteous.
My peach tea was not really sweet at all, and i would have preferred a sweet version. But at least it seemed to be the real thing, rather than the cheap mix or concentrate that you get in some other places.
My only other concerns were also fairly minor. Although it's nice getting unlimited garden salad, there was only maybe one single olive in my salad. Considering the fact that the place is literally named the Olive Garden, i want my salad to have plenty of olives. Also, i love mushrooms but my...
Read moreIt is very difficult to get such a poor rating from me. From the beginning, it was a subpar experience, especially from what I consider usually an above average chain. We set an online reservation on our way back from Pittsburgh. When we got there, we checked in, no issues. They informed us about 15 minutes, which was no big deal. We patiently waited for around 40 minutes until we finally decided to check to see what was going on after seeing multiple parties cycle both in and out. They had completely forgotten our party and skipped over us. They apologized, but that was about it. When we were seated, we hoped all would be well. Our waitress was much more inattentive than we usually see out of OG. We ordered an alcoholic frozen drink from the bar at the beginning of our meal. We asked about it several times and she kept saying she forgot and she would check. We literally received it after everyone finished their meals, and it was about a third melted. At the end, we still waited quite long for our check and one of our drinks did not get refilled the entire meal. We dont frequent this location, but I can safely say we wont be back. No compensation was even mentioned or given for the ball being dropped so many times in one visit. Triadelphia, WV location far exceeds this one in service and...
Read moreWe called ahead for a dinner reservation. They said no problem. It was 4:45 and we called ahead for 5:30. We arrive at 5:30. I check and we still need to wait. No problem. I get it’s not a reservation. We have 3 young hungry kids so I did ask how much longer it would be. They said not much longer. We continue to sit and literally watch every single person in the lobby get seated, even walk-ins who didn’t call ahead. Time rolls by. We ask again. We ask again. It’s now 6:00. The kids are starving. They tell us, it could be hours. They don’t have any tables to accommodate us and the children. We ask them how is this possible? Everyone else continues to be seated? We just need to know an ETA. They literally tell us they are unable to tell us. We continue to wait. It’s 6:30 now. It’s been over an hour. Our kids can not wait anymore. We ask them one more time to please help and accommodate. For the kids and we have been waiting forever. They have absolutely no empathy. They could care less. We tell them we will have to leave. And again they could care less. I’ve never experienced something like this before it’s like we didn’t exist. We will never ever ever return. I encourage everyone else not to also. I mean, it’s Olive Garden. Come on. Get some real Italian food. I should have...
