Franklin Athletic Club — Attraction in Southfield

Wasn't the best experience for me. Sorry to say, but the service was bad. I ended my gym membership after an employee hung up the phone on me for requesting towels. Of course, he denied it when I reported the situation. This place service was very disappointing. I will not pay my money for services where you have to be extra nice to unhappy employees and staff who seem dissatisfied with their job. Some of the staff there had the dont bother me attitude. On a few occasions, I witnessed other gym members loitering with employees behind the welcome/ check-in desk. I don't know how much information employees can see when you check in, but it made me uncomfortable that gym members could possibly see my full name, address, and contact information. That made me very uncomfortable. The facility was nice, but this was not the gym for me. I was expecting better service and professionalism. It wasn't professional. They also ask you to sign a 12 month membership agreement with a $300 cancelation fee. I wouldn't recommend a gym with an annual contract. Also, it took them 45 minutes on my last visited to bring towels. After many members requested towels and were told multiple times that "the towels were on the way". BEWARE: UNSNITARY AND UNPLEASANT with no refund when informed!

Firstly, I observed men clipping their toenails within the facility highly unhygienic and unsanitary. Nail clippings flying around the room did create an unpleasant and potentially hazardous environment for other members.

Additionally, I witnessed members spitting on the floor in the sauna which is both disrespectful and unhygienic. Saunas are meant to provide a relaxing and clean environment for members to enjoy, and spitting on the floor completely disregards the comfort and well-being of others. This behavior not only compromises cleanliness but also creates an unsanitary and unpleasant experience for everyone using the sauna.

Lastly, and on my last day (fed up) i witnessed a member touching their private parts and then touching the scale which is completely inappropriate and disrespectful. Fitness facilities should prioritize maintaining a safe and respectful atmosphere for all members. Such behavior not only violates personal boundaries but also shows a lack of consideration for others.

I have been a member of this athletic club for a few months now and I am blown away by the facilities and the level of service provided. The gym is well equipped with a wide range of machines and equipment, which are regularly maintained and cleaned. The trainers are knowledgeable and experienced, and they go above and beyond to create personalized workout plans that help you achieve your fitness goals. The pool and sauna are a great way to relax after a workout, and the locker rooms are always clean and well stocked. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and they make sure to create a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.
