MY UPDATED REVIEW IN 2019ćPrior to my most recent visit (on 01/20/19 @7:30pm) to this Casino, I would have been hard pressed to come up with anything negative to state about this establishment. Unfortunately, due to 2 employees & 1 evening shift supervisor, I will most likely never return. I was, in succession, belittled, embarrassed, & disrespected by two of their member services staff.. I had approached the players club both because I had a question. At my first question, the employee responded politely. Then, I asked another basic question about the machine where you swipe your players card and this is when I was given a very rude attitude and the only answer i received to my question was her repeating my question back to me in a mocking manner. As if, I was asking the stupidest question in the world that I should already know the answer to. At this point, she has already started walking away from the front counter to stand at the back part of their area. I suppose, this conversation was finished?... In awe at her unnecessary rude behavior, I asked her to please repeat the last part of what she said. I asked her twice but all I got was silence as I stood there staring at her back. So, I asked the other employee what her name was. She looks at the lady then back at me with no response. I asked again and she replied, "Samantha." I, in turn, said, "thank you." As I began to walk away she says to me with a smirk on her face, "Go ahead and complain.... Nothing will be done about it." So, I asked her for her name which she gives me (Carla) and I proceed to go grab a bite to eat and share this story with my fiance. He goes and finds the manager, Pat, and asks him if he could come and speak with me. I reiterate the incident to him and follow with my concerns about wasting my time complaining due to the employees statement. When Im finished he replies, "I will have a talk with them, BUT you have to be understanding that they have to deal with a lot of people that have attitudes throughout their shift." To which I countered, "It sounds like you're making excuses for their behavior. I was not rude to them at any moment despite their rude behavior. I was not only disrespected but belittled by your employee and you're excusing her behavior because she has to deal with numerous attitudes? I didn't treat her in such a way.....So, it seems to me like maybe she was correct in her assertion that nothing will be done." He rolled his eyes and just repeated his statement that I needed to be more understanding of the fact that they deal with attitudes blah, blah, blah...I thanked him for his time and left. I was and still am in complete shock that this is obviously acceptable behavior. This incident left me feeling embarrassed, belittled, and insignificant or unappreciated as a customer. Not once throughout this whole experience did I receive an apology. Maybe I will take my business and money somewhere that will appreciate a returning customer? š¤ MY PREVIOUS REVIEW IN 2018ćCheap food that tastes good...$2 for burger and...
Read moreI've never had a good experience at Baldini's. Today, both cocktail waitresses were snotty and refused to give me a bottle of water, even though they were right by the bar. I know the bar can't serve drinks because of Covid-19, but neither cocktail waitress was behind the bar. Also, my friend asked the staff at the players club counter to make an announcement about a dog that was locked inside a minivan that was directly parked in sunlight, with only one window down halfway. They said they would. We waited fifteen minutes and no announcement was made so we went back up and talked to "Silver Fox", the guy that does all of the drawings, and explained to him what happened and asked if he would make an announcement. His response was less than acceptable. He said, "I will make an announcement...AFTER the drawing." Maybe he's not familiar with death or how being locked in a car when it's 93° outside can kill you, but it seems like he didn't care. So, in conclusion, this casino is not customer centric, nor do they care about the welfare of living creatures that cannot help themselves. They're too worried about making money.
August 30, 2020 EDIT: I just left Baldini's and once again, I am not only disappointed and frustrated with the lack of courtesy and manners, but actually concerned. Ive never left a casino feeling so vulnerable and unsafe. My boyfriend and I entered the casino through the doors opposite the cashier cage. When I went to trade in my coins for a dollar, the cashier man made the transaction SO uncomfortable. And when he went to give me the dollar, he decided to set it down on the counter in front of the register to his right....and then proceeded to just stare at me when I said "thank you". If that hadn't been weird enough, fifteen minutes later, my boyfriend comes to me and tells me that when he went to get a players card printed out, the cashier decided to lecture him about the hours in which a players card can be printed. He explained that it was not his job and that my friend had to wait until six. Then, he told my boyfriend this; "you tell your little friend that if he wants a players card, he has to wait until six". I'm not sure how he even knew we were there together, considering we never walked by him together....a few minutes later, my boyfriend stopped and asked another employee about printing a players card. This employee looked like he had been heavily sedated, as his response was barely audible and his eyes were barely open. I don't know what is going on at the casino, but I feel like because I left a negative review last time, I'm now...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I we gamble at this Casino, and on the weekends we bring our family to eat at the Empire Diner for years and today wasnāt the exeption my 3 kids, husband and I, we all went today to the empire diner. We both got a players club card. The first time my husband got his players card was with his Mexican Consular ID, and I got mine with my Nevada ID. Today my husband lost his card, we go to the players club desk to get a replacement players club, and he shows his Consular ID and the employee by the name of Missey told us in a really rude way āthis is NOT an drivers licence we canāt acceptedā. I explain to her we been coming here for years, this is not the first time he losses his card and we have never had a problem with his ID(and is not a drivers lincense) I was on a unbelievable mode that I even ask her āare you new here? She said no. So I ask for the Supervisor. He comes out and tells me that this is not Mexico. Oh! wow like if I didnāt know that. I couldnāt believe this was happening I had to ask are you the supervisor? He said no, Iām the Manager, and Iām the only one that runs this. His name tag said Erick. This is a casino, and for god sakes this is Reno where people from all over the places comes here, and not all have a state issued ID, but DO have a proper Identification. Maybe starting telling people before they lose their money what kind of ID they should have, because for the last several years we been gambling here and my husband has been having his consular he even got his players club in the first place. ( lack of training of those two Missey and Erick and racism I have no doubt about it) I will let my community know via social media, to be aware of this place. I do see lots of them gambling at this place and Iām sure more than one has a Consular ID. That was issue legally in...
