Came here right after we visited Revision Brewing right across the street. I'm still disappointed that Revision Brewing doesn't offer any food (or even light snacks), but I'm glad I found this place. It's actually a 1 minute walk across the street from Revision Brewing, and I was very impressed with the entire package here.

The food here was fantastic IMO, but maybe that was because I was already loaded up on IPAs and any food would have done the trick. We came on a Tuesday, which is Taco Tuesday here. I ordered 1 of each taco (Ground Beef, Chicken, Fish, Carne Asada), and thought they were all very tasty. If I had to choose, I'd say the Chicken and Carne Asada were my favorites. I also ordered the Loaded Fries starter, and housed the whole thing by myself. The pulled pork was extremely tasty, the fries were crispy. The food here I thought was VERY good, and the pricing was spot on.

As far as everything else, the atmosphere in the bar was laid back, plenty of seating available (bar height tables as well as regular dining tables), pool tables & dart boards looked to be in good shape, good amount of TVs, the service was very personal (waitress was friendly and talkative), great music (Alice in Chains, Nirvana, etc), and most importantly the dining area AND bathrooms were very clean.

I wouldn't say this is a MUST DO if you're visiting Sparks / Reno and want to maximize your time doing "touristy" things, but if you're going to be going to Revision Brewing for beer tasting, I'd consider coming to this place after a MUST. If you're a local in Sparks / Reno, I would highly recommend giving this place a try.

Overall, the whole package of food, pricing, atmosphere, and service...

Have been to this place several times. They can't handle large crowds or they will miss your order, forget you are there, or mess up your order. First time going was awesome, quick and good food and good service, but it was dead. Second time went with a group and they forgot two of the orders and by the time they gave us the check they still hadn't received their order. They had to take it to-go. House was pretty full. This last time we went with the place had a decent amount of people but not big groups. We waited 53 minutes before we asked the waitress for our food as other people coming in after us got their meal and we're almost finished. Lady said it'll be right out. At the hour mark I walked up to her and come to find out they lost our ticket and hadn't started our order yet. Don't go if your hungry and got time to wait or if they have an empty house. Maybe get more than a one bartender, one waitress, and one cook. Obviously can't handle busy crowds...

Really... trying to figure out why this place has such a high review?

Food: First, I have to mention their water! GROSS! It tasted like they pulled it straight from the toilet... maybe they did! 🤮 Rest of the food...Meh! I had their special which was a French dip with grilled onions, cheese, and an au jus dip. I didn't finish it because the beef was tough and it only tasted moderately ok.

Service: Was decent. It was one waitress on the floor. She was kind and did a good job keeping on top of our orders.

Atmosphere: There was a breathalyzer on the wall by the front door! I'd imagine that has turned into a challenge by the locals! The rest of the place has a very standard bar vibe...pool table, bar, darts, etc...

Overall: I've been here once, I think that's enough. I wouldn't recommend. No...

At first sight, Blitz is kind of deceiving. It is located in the commercial area of Reno/Sparks and in a commercial complex. There isn't any garish signage nor any indication where to enter. We guessed and found the entrance. Once inside, Blitz becomes the typical neighborhood bar and grill. Very clean and tidy. There are several pool tables, lots of high top tables, large u-shaped bar and regular height tables. The service staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nothing fancy but good clean entertainment. The food offered is standard grill fare. We ordered a burger and philly cheese. I also had a side salad. The veggies were cold and crisp. The breads well toasted. The meats cooked and seasoned well. Overall a pleasant experience. Yes, we would go back.

We love this bar. It is our favorite lunch spot and the bartender is the sweetest little thing! The food is really good everytime. Their enchilada special is 10 stars, soooo delicious with refried beans made from scratch. Wonderful atmosphere and multiple pool tables with a large wrap around bar and lots of dining tables. You can't not have a good time here.
