Technology Center — Local services in Sparks

I had never been to Technology Center, but I brought in an older IBM machine that wouldn't boot and had a bad network card. They were the only IT business in Sparks who would even look at the machine. Everyone else said it was too old to bother with. This machine is critical to daily operations, and we were dead in the water without it. The 'T.C.' team went above and beyond anything I would have expected, to not only get our IBM machine up and running again, but Fred personally spent about two weeks in and out of my office, not only getting the IBM machine configured correctly, but also discovered other problems with our network that we were able to work together to get resolved. Now, I am a fairly well versed IT person myself, and throughout the process of updating my company's network together, I never felt that we were being misled or being fed snake oil. Fred is a very authentic and competent person. He didn't try to get us to buy anything we didn't need or feed us bogus IT jargon to "get the sale" like others I have dealt with in the past. He and the rest of the staff are honest and friendly people, and not only would I hire them again, I plan on doing it very soon to address some other infrastructure problems on my list. Had a dire situation with a laptop that decided to crash at random upon a simple hardware upgrade attempt. Gave these guys a call, (in a frantic state, I might add, as this is a necessary component to what we do!) and, Curtis was so professional, patient and willing to try and help over the phone, without asking for a thing! We were unsuccessful in attempting to address the issue over the phone, so I made the 30 mile trek into Reno to drop the laptop off to them. My first impression of the facility was how clean and expansive the place was (a far cry from how some other competitors places I’ve seen were, I must say!). This, coupled with how friendly and professional the technicians were definitely put me at ease with leaving my computer with them. Long story short, they got it back to me in better than original working order AND in advance of an upcoming event it was needed for. My laptop started showing error 0xc00000e after an update. I tried restoring it to a previous save before it updated. My laptop clearly did not like that, and decided to throw a new error: critical process died.

I only know so much about computers. After several failed attempts at fixing it, I was frantic. This is my work computer. I called the store and chatted with Tim about factory resetting it completely with no data recovery (didn't need it), he said they could see it same day and that they'd have it flashed in an hour.
