I really like how organized and clean this Aldi is! Products are easy to find, and the store is very easy to navigate. I appreciate their "twice as nice" guarantee as well, which means if you have to return a product for any reason, you get a full refund AND a (free) replacement. I have needed to use this guarantee a couple of times, once because my can of cinnamon rolls exploded on the way home, and another time because I didn't realize the pizza I literally just bought had been expired for 48 hours until after I checked out. They make it worth your while if you run into issues with their products!
I'm omitting a star from the rating for a few reasons. First, this store is small. Whenever it gets crowded, it's very hard to navigate and a bit frustrating because they only open 1-2 (out of 4 or 5) checkout aisles, even during busy times. I know like many other places, they are probably short on staff.
Another issue that is created by the ongoing dilemma of staff shortage was the presence of expired products (as I mentioned above about the pizza), and the fact that some of the shelves are bare. I'm not sure if they ran out of product, or if they didn't have anyone stocking at that time. They don't carry everything you would expect a grocery store to have, but neither does any other store from what I've noticed, including the local Publix and Walmart!
If you--like me--tend to assume Aldi is going to have the best/lowest price, beware! Make sure you compare prices to other local grocery stores because Aldi isn't always the cheapest. I noticed once they started taking credit cards as a form of payment, their prices on some items have gone up a bit. Of course, food prices in general are up, but this increase happened well before that.
My last grievance is that Aldi's produce isn't always as a high quality as I'd like. To compare apples to apples (pun intended! 🍎), Aldi produce is probably the quality of the local Food Lion or Walmart; it is never as high quality as Publix. Kroger can be hit-or-miss, but generally has pretty high produce quality like Publix too. I've had produce from Aldi go bad in 1-3 days when others can last the week. I have to be picky when purchasing Aldi produce!
Other than the few frustration points mentioned above, I highly recommend this Aldi. The main manager--Brandy--is always on top of it. 💯 My husband and I were low on groceries and went in one day after a heavy snow storm, and Brandy was the only one there, making sure Aldi was open to anyone who could get out in the winter weather. We were especially grateful on that particular visit because not only did Aldi have everything we needed in stock that time, but also, sometimes smaller stores tend to close during or right after inclement weather, so we had very...
Read moreGreat selection, horrible customer service. I have shopped here for the last year or so, both through Aldi directly and Instacart. Today I placed an Instacart order, which said I could pick up until they closed. We arrived just a few minutes before close (cutting it close I will admit, but still before close) and opened the Instacart app to be told to contact the store. I attempted to call the store to avoid getting out as we had two babies in the car, but quickly realized I wasn’t going to get through in time and decided to go in instead. I approached the door at 7:59 to find it locked so I attempted the exit door where a checkout employee immediately saw me and yelled “NO, we’re closed”. I gestured and stated that I had a pickup order, and she said nope, it’s after 8 it’s cancelled. I offered to come in and load it up myself, and she again said no, after 8, the order is cancelled. I understand it was closing time but I’d been there for 5 or so minutes trying to get ahold of someone and then I’m told my order is cancelled. I’ve always loved Aldi for their quality food at a bargain price but I will not be returning to this location because of this experience tonight. I will make the 20 minute drive to the location in Franklin...
Read moreBest Aldi I've ever been in. Cleaner, better selection than other Aldi stores. Employees are always super friendly and who can beat the Aldi promise. If you don't like something they buy you a replacement and give you your money back. I also know a corporate employee and they have an excellent business plan to save the consumer money while not compromising their most important assets, the employees. It's a great store, company and way to save a ton of money. When I go grocery shopping, I make an Aldi list as I see things they carry. I must say their salad dressings and ranch especially, are second to none. I'd put it up against any brand and the bottle is a buck and quarter. 88 cents for a loaf of bread, 69 cents for a dozen eggs and their brand of honey bunches of oats is better than regular HB of Oats. I love aldi and this store in particular is awesome with a huge selection, a super nice manager and...
