The Rage Room - York — Attraction in Springettsbury Township

I took my son here in early May 2025. I only gave it one star because the owners were really nice. When you walk in the door, you are greeted with an overwhlemingly disgusting-apartment smell mixed with freshly issued CBRN gear. There is a small room at the front which is for kids to get out temper tantrums and stuff, which sounds like a good idea because there's alot of cushions and pretty much the point of a rage room, right? This room smelled just as bad at the rest of the place, no way would I ever recommend a human go in there. The bathrooms were dirty, everywhere. Floor, sink, toilet, needed a serious clean. The hallways were dirty that led around the place. The smell permeated my clothes and I could still smell it on me when we left. I understand that the point of a rage room is to break stuff and splatter paint depending on what room you're in. But wow. No excuse for the rest of the facility to be so disgusting. My son and I were very uncomfortable in this environment, due to the uncleanliness and odor throughout the place. I would not recommend this place. I would like to start off by saying my wife has been to quite a few rage rooms before. She was really looking forward to raging at this rage room however she found it quite awkward. She said the room was very disorganized and there were boxes everywhere, there wasn’t much space for her and her group to rage comfortably and safely. The person who attended to her group stayed in the room with her the entire time after telling her she would only be in there for a couple of minutes. I’m sure she just wanted to make sure my wife and her group were being safe however it made them feel uncomfortable and awkward. How does one properly rage while a stranger just watches you? This was the first Rage Room I have ever been to and had an amazing first experience! I didn't know what to expect, but I will say it was more than I could have asked for. When I showed up, I was walked to the rage room my session would be had in, shown what I could use and the limits/purposes of each aspect of the room, and walked through on safety. I also can confidently say the safety equipment is clean, as the owner gave the shield I would be using a cleaning while explaining things before giving it to me! I got to have a good amount of time to get things out of my system, and afterwards the owner took the time to check in with me and make sure I was doing ok.
