I've been a member at this gym for 4 years and I've seen multiple personal trainers go in and out of the gym who never worked there. Back in October I got my trainers certification and started training at planet fitness. Before I trained I asked management if there was anything I had to do? Split the cost of what I was making, train at certain times only, etc. They said NO! We only have 2 rules do not pay in front of us and one guest per day! So I thought wonderful how nice of them! Over the last 8 months my business has really started building and I have a lot more clients, but still I have made sure and followed planet fitness rules. Well 2 months ago planet fitness got a new personal trainer. Her name is Amy Browning. Let me just say, she's not the type of person I would want training me! She's rude and never has a smile on her face! Any time I would have clients come to the gym she would find some reason to tell on me for something! It didn't matter what it was! She would tell the manager something new every single day. And today she made up a lie and told the manager I brought 5 guest in at a time, so the manager walked up to me and told me that she called corporate and cancelled my membership! Just like that! Because this trainer made up a lie and said I was teaching a class of 5 and let 5 guest in! If that were the case why would the front desk let me get past with 5 guest at a time? Apparently the staff isn't doing their part, if I came in and signed in 5 other guest? This place is absolutely pathetic. They say it's a judgement free zone and that everyone is welcome but that's a lie. Half the staff has no idea what they're talking about! And the trainer isn't getting any business, because she isn't any good! When the guy trainer was around we got along GREAT!! And everything was fine! He didn't care that my business was doing well! We supported each other and that's how it should be! So if you plan on getting a membership here, don't! This place is a disgrace to fitness and health! I don't advise getting a membership...
Read moreI joined years ago and left because of how rude the staff was. I recently decided to give them another chance thinking after all these years they've worked out the kinks. Boy was a wrong... After a very long day all i wanted was to sit in the massage chair and relax, you know because i pay to do so. Ofcourse i needed to make a payment and tried calling and going online to do so... I couldnt get anyone on the phone or the website to work properly. So i drove the 15 minutes to the location to try in person. The machine had me swipe my card 3 times before saying accepted... Ofcourse the young man tells me I cancelled the transaction, so i try again. Nothing! I step to the side to see what was happening with my card when i see a transaction has been posted it took the money. I show him it took the money from my card and i will not be paying again. He was adamant it didnt go through. I lost it! How can i show you it took my money but i cant use my account! He was kind enough to let me sit in the massage chair and told me that he couldn't do anything more. I was there with a friend who decided to tan while i relaxed. She came out of the room after 3 minutes to tell me after a minute the tanning bed shut off... I went to the desk for a number to call to get this fixed.... I was told to contact the manager who would be in at 9 am the next morning. I called first thing this morning to be told she will not be in until tomorrow. I was looking forward to working out and tanning today considering i only get 1 day off a week. I will be contacting a manager in the morning to cancel my membership and get my money back. Read moreOne of the cleanest gyms I’ve ever been to. I will say that they take pride in keeping the gym very clean. However, This is not a judgement free zone. If you are an everyday gym goer then you do get judged. They have no problem embarrassing you if you are to make any noises. It’s one of the most annoying parts of the gym. Even if it’s not me making a noise its extremely embarrassing for the person that did. Also the management frowns upon providing help to someone that doesn’t know what they are doing. Regardless of the fact that you are not getting paid and just is someone that has knowledge. They want their trainer to be used, who is not there 24/7. This can be quite annoying considering that the trainer does not know everything. No one really does. This IS THE MOST STRICT Planet Fitness I’ve been to. They follow the rules to the T. Which can be great but also can be a flaw. For example if you have sports crocs and forgot your shoes, they will make a note about it and most likely not let you workout. Most other locations will make exceptions. This location has GREAT manners. They will always recognize you and greet you arriving and leaving which is a very good quality to have at the gym.
