I had a scheduled appointment for my son to get his first passport and photo taken at this location. From the moment I walked in the customer rep at the desk had an attitude the moment I said I was There for a scheduled appointment. She yelled at me “All Appointments cancelled today you got a call” excuse me I never got a call today. She proceeded to say “we are short staffed I don’t need to help you with this passport”. She made me go get a copy of my son’s birth certificate while having the actual original copy at hand. When I returned she said “I’m going to lunch” says I’m not helping you. I have Never been treated with such disrespect before. Not only was she was disrespectful to me but she was also rude and disrespectful to my 8 year old son. Who couldn’t understand why we were being treated this way. I took time out to schedule this appointment as well as took my son out of school early for this appointment. I am A branch manager of a Bank and even when we’re short staffed we take ownership of all appointments at hand and we take care of all clients despite of how many teammates are working or not working. There’s no excuse as to why they have a need to push clients out the door or treat them horribly. Corporate will be called and I will be filing a complaint against this location and its staff. If this isn’t a job you can handle maybe it’s time to find another career path to...
Read moreThe Springfield post office is superior to any other I have been to in NJ. Lovita in particular is an absolute sweetheart. She took care of my son’s passport application today with professionalism and efficiency - as well as a few doses of good cheer and humor. And kudos to the management of this post office as well. They had the courtesy to contact me early this morning to let me know that the camera was down, so that we should bring our own photo, and they also called a second time to offer to process the application earlier than the appointed time if that was preferable to us - which it was. All this in stark contrast to the post office in Short Hills - with whom we had an appointment yesterday - they waited until we showed up yesterday (after me taking a day off work and my son taking rhe day off school) to tell us that there was no one there to process the application. (As the one person who does that has been out sick for over a week already - so they had plenty of time to let us know - they just dont bother to contact anyone because they just dont care). Today was a pleasure - and I appreciate the effort they all make at Springfield to provide great...
Read moreMy mail carrier refuses to bring mail up to my mailbox and throws it on the ground on my driveway. Very often, she throws it in a pile of leaves, where it gets lost and/or covered in dirt, rain and mud. I have had several letters drenched in rain and snow and ruined.
I have complained several times to the Supervisor and Post Master. They have done nothing to address my complaints. The postal carrier continues to throw mail on my driveway.
I wish I could give this Post Office 0 stars for poor customer service, but alas, Google forces me to give them at least one star, which they do not merit. It is sad that the supervisor and Post Master at this location evidently cannot train their carriers how to place mail in a mailbox or address my concerns.
I do not understand what my tax dollars are paying for at this location. The post master makes well over $80,000 per year, which is more than most of us in this struggling economy. If this were a private business, it would have shut down long ago. It is a shame that this government institution that we are paying for with our tax dollars gets to continue without any...
