City Museum & Washington Avenue Parking St Louis — Attraction in St. Louis

Do not miss it! This is not a museum, it's a gigantic interactive playground. Don't get me wrong, there are some exhibits, but they are lost among the myriad of themed play areas designed by local artists from recycled materials. Don't expect your standard monkey bars, see-saws and swing sets. At City Museum children can literally disappear into the walls and emerge from the ceiling or floor. A giant fish tank mesmerizes young and old while a ten story slide offers seemingly endless thrills. There is as much to do indoors as outdoors so weather is not an issue. If you are looking for an activity that will delight a two year old, a twelve year old and a twenty-two year old then this is your place. I have spent three days here and I still haven't seen everything there is to do. They also serve decent food and alcoholic beverages at reasonable prices. This is the coolest and best place I've ever visited. There is so much to explore and if you have toddlers there is a toddler section for fun! I remember going on the tallest biggest slide, I waited 30 minutes... totally worth it!!! So much cool findings and definitely worth your money, from the rooftop you can see the arch! Overall nothing was broken or hurt...

It was neat, but there were so many people! Museum is a bit misleading as it’s mostly a gigantic jungle gym (which was awesome! But packed with so many people). There are a few exhibits packed away in small rooms and many other rooms were under construction. Kids 7-10 will love it. Their parents will likely be looking for the bar...
