I was traveling through St Louis and googled Indian restaurants. I picked this one because it had a 4.7 score in the reviews. Initial reactions were good because the newly opened restaurant had nice decor and interior fitments. The menu and drink choice was disappointing because they hadn't got a license for alcohol so instead of the refreshing beer I looked forward to, I just went with water. They only had a handful of curry choices which they didn't call "curry", it was described as "gravy" dishes. For meat, there was a choice between chicken or mutton dishes. I asked if they had lamb but the pleasant server tried to convince me that mutton is like lamb. I then had to educate her about the old saying "mutton dressed as lamb." I chose the Chicken Chettinad because they assured me that they could make this very spicy as per my preference. Unfortunately the spice level was a bland medium. I normally eat Vindaloo or Phal so this was disappointing. The worst aspect was that there was only two chicken drumsticks and a piece of chicken that looked like a breast with hardly any breast meat on it. The supplied fork and spoon were useless to cut the meat off the bone and I had to ask for a knife. That's probably the first time in my life I've had to ask for a knife in an Indian restaurant. The small container of rice was pitiful. Again, I've never had a situation in an Indian restaurant where you get more curry than rice and remember, this was already a feeble portion of curry. The flavor was OK but in the end it was essentially a tiny pitstop dinner costing $25 and nothing to write home about. There was no atmosphere because it lacked something as simple as some Indian music. There was my table of two and only one other diner and it was...

Very disappointing experience, read reviews which are good and wanted to try this place. We asked for a single person fish mandi they said they can make it and rang the order. Later came back and said we misprinted it on the menu so it’s gonna be for one person only but we will give two portion of the protein. By this time it was too late to cancel the order so ended up paying 35$ for mandi which is way over priced for the quantity. The rice in the mandi seemed average kinda felt dry and the fish was way too fishy. The fries very undercooked, it was so raw in the middle only ate a few which were crispy.I tried to order veg biryani but the server suggested mandi is gonna be big serving so I wanted to order something not so heavy. Asked for idli and panipuri they said they don’t have but can make dosa. So I ordered plain dosa which took so much time to come out I ended up having the mandi rice even though I didn’t wanted to. By the time they brought me my dosa my bf already finished having his meal. So he just sat and watched me eat. They said since we only have dosa in the morning it’s taking us time to make it now. They don’t have any timings on the menu so I thought it’s all day and also the waitress suggested that dish in the very first place, didn’t think I was causing them inconvenience to make it during night time.I ordered plain dosa but was given and charged for masala dosa the chutney wasn’t edible it had gone bad. I ordered chai which was at room temperature when they brought it to me so I didn’t drink that. It wasn’t a very great experience will not be going back. The money isn’t worth the quantity. The staff was friendly but it don’t make up for the average...

I had an amazing experience at Masala Republic Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a great dining experience. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with recommendations.

The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was perfectly cooked, full of authentic flavors, and beautifully presented. The spices were well balanced, not too heavy, and brought out the true taste of the cuisine. The variety on the menu was impressive, offering something for everyone whether you prefer vegetarian, non-vegetarian, or vegan options.

The portion sizes were generous, and the quality was excellent for the price. The ambiance was modern yet cozy, making it a great place for families, friends, or even a casual dinner outing. Service was quick, and everything came fresh and hot.

Overall, Masala Republic exceeded my expectations in every way — food, service, ambiance, and value. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves good food and wants a complete dining experience. Definitely a place I’ll be...

Came from Florida to visit here and at 10:30pm we were haunting for a nice desi meal since we got tired of as usual foods! And we found this amazing place! The food was beyond our expectations! We had mutton masala with garlic naan! Perfectly cooked and served! For dessert we had mango malai very unique and tasty! Typically I don’t see this kind of dessert in Indian restaurants! Overall everything was 10/10! Just want to address one issue is the parking place is very small! But we love to pay a visit anytime we visit here again! Definitely recommend this place if you want to have some amazing desi food✨
