Pops Kitchen Downtown — Restaurant in St. Louis

Was in town for my birthday weekend, out late and starving. Came across this place because it was 300ft away and one of the only places open that late. The food was delicious. There will be a little wait that time of night because they stay busy. Its not really a sit down and eat spot, even though they do have seating. Now. To the food. The fries were impressive. A good 30mins after picking it up, the fries were still warm and soft, not hard and crappy. Great seasoning on all the fried food. The egg rolls are really spring rolls, but insanely delicious. The shrimp are huge, perfectly cooked and the flavor. I didnt even need ketchup. Don't take offense if you feel they're a bit abrupt. They keep it quick to get everyone in and out. I been living in downtown for 6 years and I been coming here for a ver very long time now the reason I stopped coming down here because the staff is very very rude and its always dirty in the back they never clean the floor and the tables are dirty they messed up my orders so many times in the past months and a week ago I was like let me give them another chance I bought 20 pc wings and 8 pc fish and 5 sodas the fish was very hard the fries was very old and soggy and I found a bug in my food it’s disgusting Iam never coming back here again I called them to tell them about it they hung up they didn’t care the was like if you don’t have a receipt we won’t refund the money Iam not coming back here at all I been going to stl city grill since they opened their fish is better it’s always cooked right and their clean and its way cheaper yall be...

I love chicken wings and fries and I was absolutely excited and so to have a chicken place close by was awesome. I ordered the first time and it taste pretty ok, the 2nd time it was just ok, the third time I went solidified it for me that I will not be going back. I ordered a 10 whole wing dinner, the chicken wings were so little that all ten fit into the container with the fries, first I thought that was strange because anyplace when you order 10 wings, they are 2 big for wings and fries to go in together. I get home, open up the containers, the wings looked like cooked sparrows, they were hard and certainly could not have been warmed up the next day.
