I like the red door church! Being a homeless advocate we are there many times during the week handing out clothes, hot food, bottled water, informational flyers and more. A few years ago the church offered a huge Saturday morning breakfast to the peeps and anyone in need! It seems like they don't do as much for their homeless community like they use to do. I love Pastor Kathy who runs the emergency shelter in the basement of the church. They open the emergency shelter doors way before the temp drops below 20 degrees unlike the City-owned shelter Biddle. However, I feel they could do more for their community. All the churches in the city should at least try to do MORE!! Right now most of the St. Louis City churches are NOT DOING ENOUGH SERVICE WORK for the homeless, poor, hungry, and those in need!
