No Way Out Escape Room Adventures — Attraction in St. Louis

The escape room was fun and challenging, however many of the locks that we couldn’t get open were just jammed or didn’t open for us when we put in the same combinations the staff put in later on. (I watched the staff member have to try twice to open a lock when showing us how to open it.) As for the hints, 2 out of 3 hints were about things we had already done. My biggest issue, however, is the fact that my whole group used a student discount code that had misleading wording on the website and we all received confirmation emails when we ordered our tickets. But, the day of our reservation, we all received an email saying our codes were invalid and that we were going to receive an additional charge. If you are going to have requirements like changing your reservation needing to be 48 hours in advance, at least let your customers know with the same amount of notice that their code was invalid or are being charged an additional fee. Most likely won’t be going back to this escape room ever again considering there’s only 1 puzzle to solve and they change it...

This room was alright, but there were a few things that were glaringly problematic. First, the final lock was not locked when we went into the area. We opened it, and noted the alarm, then decided it was a mistake and moved on. A few minutes later, another member in our party opened the same door, and suddenly it was an issue. They stopped the clock and fixed it, and offered the second team member a free shirt for noticing that, even though another member in our party noted it.

Also, many of the clues were audio based, and the music playing in the room made it hard to hear the audio. And don't even get me started on the walkie talkies. They are hard to hear at the best of times, but when you add loud music to the room, it makes it impossible to understand.

I'm not one to write reviews but this place was so good that I had to give it 5 stars. I know that the location of this place seems a bit "off" for such a popular attraction, but don't let that deter you. I went here with a group of co-workers from SLU and we all had a blast! The service is amazing. The guy working there was top notch and was super friendly. I've never been to an escape the room before, but I know that it won't be my last time. The puzzle was really interactive and kept all of us thinking and working together the whole time. We finished with 5 minutes to spare! I highly recommend this place for any sort of outings.
