Patriot Cruises — Attraction in St. Michaels

I purchased tickets for Saturday, 4/12/25 for the Toast to the Chesapeake Cruise. We go to St. Michael's a few times a year but had never taken the Patriot Cruise so I looked at the website and saw this SPECIAL cruise that included heavy hors d'oeuvres, a champagne toast and door prizes to kick off the season. My birthday was 4/14/25 so we decided to do this for my birthday. I am so glad that we did. It was wonderful, the food which was catered by Blue Heron Catering was phenomenal. While on the cruise, Cheryl was celebrating her birthday also and I got to meet her and her friends. They sang Happy Birthday to her and also sang to me. I found out that Cheryl's son is Captain Mike and his wife is Joyce who was the "cruise director" and MC. Joyce was so nice and kind - she was so wonderful! The other staff on the boat were also very nice and pleasant to talk to! We had such a wonderful time - I did not want it to end! The views on the water were spectacular? We will definitely be back to do this again. I highly recommend checking out the Patriot cruises - whether a special event or just a sightseeing cruise. We couldn’t have asked for a more unforgettable start for our wedding weekend than Patriot Cruises. From start to finish, everything was absolutely seamless. The staff was not only professional and attentive, but they were also genuinely kind, accommodating, and clearly passionate about making our celebration special. Cruising along the water with our closest friends and family, surrounded by stunning views, created a one-of-a-kind atmosphere for the beginning of our wedding weekend. I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have a Season Pass on Patriot Cruises. I'm a retired travel agent - it makes me feel like I'm traveling again!

People ask if it wouldn't be the same every time. Absolutely not! (different skies, different seas, different boats, different wildlife, different seasons and different stories by different captains)

I have learned so much about St Michaels: the War of 1812, the oyster industry, the crabbing industry, boatbuilding, nautical terms, historic boats, historic homes, farms and mansions of millionaires/billionaires, actors, authors, politicians, spies, buried treasures and even ghosts!

In addition to dolphins, I have seen cow-nose rays, bald eagles, osprey, great blue herons, egrets, ducks, geese and more. Kids get most excited about seagulls and jellyfish!

I've got my fingers crossed to see deer swimming across the Miles River to Long Point...
