The Parsonage Inn, is a Victorian Bed and Breakfast. It is truly, an amazing little secret in St Michaels Maryland. They truly make you fell at home. Free use of bicycles, amazing breakfast. WIFI. Very interesting story of the house known as the Henry Clay Dodson House. Built in 1883. Henry Clay brought a new way of building homes in the area using "Bricks". He used his home as a "Show Case to demonstrate all you can do with bricks. If you don't stay over night, you need to walk up the street to admire this beautiful building.

We had a wonderful stay at the Parsonage Inn during the Seaglass Festival at the Chesapeake Maritime Museum (across the street)! The room was very clean and spacious. Our king size bed was very comfortable. Parking was adjacent. Shelley’s breakfast was carefully prepared and delightful with local seasonal ingredients and accompaniments. So tasty and a great start to our day. Shops and restaurants are nearby and inviting. This is a great place to celebrate and make memories…

The new inn keepers were wonderful, the breakfast was lovely, even gave us extra coffee to watch our racers go right by the inn. Rooms are lovely, furnishings were a touch shabby. Bed/mattress and linens were very comfy.

Our recent stay wasn’t like our previous experiences at the Parsonage Inn. We have stayed there in the past, at least five times, have had a wonderful experience and met great people. I even propped in front of their fireplace.

But about ten minutes after we arrived in the room the handle on the toilet broke so we had to flush the toilet manually until we left. It was temporarily semi-fixed and was told that it couldn’t be fixed until the next day. Unfortunately . . . we were leaving the next day. Just outside of the balcony door there were two chairs with a tarp on them with a puddle of water that had been sitting on the tarp for sometime. There was also and orange traffic cone sitting on the deck. Not something that you would expect to see outside of you balcony door at a reputable bed and breakfast. I have been staying in St Michaels for many years at the several B&Bs and have never complained. Our stays have been great.

But, the best was yet to come. Was asked by the Innkeeper to provide feedback of our stay so I was truthful so that it would brought to their attention. This is the email response I received from the Innkeeper . . . .

We were disappointed in you as Guests and have taken steps to be sure you cannot book in the future.

Wow! We only stayed for the night and that's it. I don't know if the Innkeeper who runs the the Parsonage B&B owns it as well but if anyone knows how to contact the owner it would be greatly...

I booked (and paid for) a room at the Parsonage Inn in January 2022 for a weekend stay in June 2022 for a wedding. I called the Parsonage Inn the Wednesday before my stay to see if I could only stay Saturday night instead of Friday and Saturday and was notified that the hotel staff had cancelled my reservation a week earlier without my knowledge or consent and they were full for the weekend. I found this out three days before my stay and I was traveling in from out of town. I began scrambling to find a room as the wedding was quickly approaching, all of the hotels across the bay bridge were booked and the hotel staff did nothing for me to help me find a room somewhere. I ended up finding a room the day before i was going to leave for the wedding at the Hilton Inn for $520 per night, well over the amount i booked the Parsonage for, but the Parsonage Inn put me in a position where I had no choice. The hotel staff was supposed to help me find another room given they cancelled my reservation for no reason, they provided no assistance.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. I truly hope this does not happen to anyone else. Needless to say i will never look to stay at the...

I had no idea where to go away for a long weekend to relax from my over-demanding daily life. I came across the Parsonage Inn in St. Michael’s, MD. The description alone sounded so peaceful and inviting, made reservations immediately.

When my husband and I arrived to beautiful Victorian Inn and was greeted by a lovely women, Liz, who was the Innkeeper. The entire atmosphere of the common area was so welcoming in. As we entered our room it was so quaint, warm and spotless. Everything was perfect and Liz was so accommodating filling us in on places to visit and eat dinner.

Breakfast the next morning, prepared by Liz, was delicious and filling. Perfect. The morning we were leaving my husband made a comment telling me he wanted to stay and have Liz take care of him. Of course, he was joking, but that’s just how you felt staying at the Parsonage Inn…home away from home. I would highly recommend visiting that Parsonage Inn if you’re looking for a refreshing, quiet get away. I most certainly plan to go back for a visit and a much needed getaway! Thank you Liz for your hospitality. ~Debbie Stevens &...
