Update: 2024 Memorial Day weekend- Michael always goes the extra “mile” for his customers. Thank you for helping David arrange transportation to west marine - we unfortunately had radio communication failure on our way here. Michael, you always make the extra effort to ensure slipholders and visitors feel relaxed, safe and comfortable. We have been coming here for about 22 years. And you always make the time for helping others no matter how busy you are.
David and Jen “New Latitude”.
I have reviewed this marina on other sites as well.
—— This is my favorite marina. I think it deserves more than five stars.
Some of the reasons I believe this:
exceptionally helpful, skilled and friendly dock "hands" manager, owner (all of the employees) very dog friendly immaculate (truly) restrooms with showers Combination code provided for slip holders and tolietries provided such as disposable razors (in women's area also), hairspray etc well-stocked ship store with a variety of items The most random (yet cool 😎 being self tanning towels (a very highly rated brand). Cigars are also available... I have heard it's a nice selection/assortment gas/diesel/pump out pool with comfortable lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas (I posted a photo of the pool water on yelp. It is very clean - and I am "Fussy". Sunglasses are cleaned for free By marina employees at the pool bike rentals and "gem car" rentals available flowers well maintained three restaurants on...
Read moreI love to cruise on the Chesapeake Bay and my favorite place to put in for the weekend is the wonderful St. Michael's Marina! It is always the highlight of my trip and I return often. Mike, the Manager, takes excellent care of his guests and his extremely friendly and helpful staff take their cues from his example. I am always treated virtually the same as those folks with the 80-foot luxury yachts who also love to dock there. The services, facilities, amenities, food and many other features are top notch from the deep water, sizeable slips, and availability of fuel to the terrific gift shop, bathrooms with showers, very clean and safe docks, and magnificent views of the surroundings, etc.
Also, it's only a short walk to the beautiful Town of St. Michael's, which I am sure you will find to be a quaint and fun location with some of the nicest shops you will find on your cruise. You will come to agree that it is always enjoyable to visit, as I do.
If you are cruising the Bay, make it a point to layover at St. Michael's Marina. Enjoy the top-notch service and first-rate features and amenities, shop at the gift shop and stroll thru the town. You won't regret it. I never do. In the immortal words of Arnold Schwarzenegger,...
Read moreOur first year on the Chesapeake last year our slip neighbors said "We have to go to St. Michael's!" New to the area, we didn't. know anything about the destination but were very pleased with the ease of making reservations and the warmth of the staff on the phone. The approach to St. Michael's was clearly marked and easily navigable. Upon our arrival we were met with encouragement and a cheering section from the line handlers on the dock. They helped guide us into our snug slip and were on board tying the lines before the engines were even in neutral. We loved being in front of Foxy's, where we had a front row seat to live music and the fireworks from the museum. The bathrooms are maintained immaculately and everything is close by and easily accessed. Being by the park and having a short walk to downtown led to numerous adventures in the quaint tow. We spent time at the pool and enjoyed having cocktails in the sunshine near the water. Very pet friendly and the dockhands even go to know our dog's name. Recommend wholeheartedly. This is now our gold standard...
