I was walking downtown with my service dog. I decided we would stop to eat. Saw some outdoor dining tables available here. The restaurant was not busy. There may have been only three or four tables on the inside that were occupied. There were two tables on the outside, one that was dirty, both were available. So I asked the hostess if I can sit at one of the outdoor tables, she went like she was going to grab me a menu and she saw that I had my service dog with me. All of a sudden, both of those outdoor tables were magically reserved. She told me I was more than welcome to place a carry out order and I can sit at the dirty table long enough to decide what I wanted from the menu. She came back a few minutes later, to see if I had decided on what I wanted, not with a towel in hand to clean the table, she had no intent to wipe down the dirty table she had me sit at, mind you, there was another unoccupied table that was clean. I realize now what kind of harm I have been put in by being asked to sit at an unsanitized, previously occupied, dirty table. I just hope the people that were there before me do not have COVID or the flu. At that point I decided that they had told me that those tables were “reserved” because I had my service dog with me and because I had my service dog with me, we weren’t good enough to sit at the clean table. Nor were we invited inside to one of the many empty tables that were available. This alone is a clear violation of my federal civil rights by refusing to provide equal access to people with disabilities that have service animals, provided by the American Disability Act of 1990. So I went to foxy‘s Harbor Grill and spent almost 100 bucks there, why would I spend my money at Limoncello when clearly I wasn’t worthy enough to sit at a clean “reserved” table? When I went by this restaurant on my way home, I was not surprised to see that there was nobody sitting at any either of their outside dining tables, which they would have been if they had truly been “reserved”. Therefore, confirming the obvious that those tables were never really reserved at all. I was hoping that they would be occupied so I could stop feeling as violated as I was feeling and currently still feel. On another note, those outdoor tables are in dire need of maintenance as they are incredibly wobbly. Who in their right mind would actually want to reserve a wobbly table? Especially when there’s probably 20 or so more perfectly fine tables on the inside. I realize that this restaurant has discriminated against me and my service animal. I’m completely disgusted and just downright outraged...
Read moreThis was possibly one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. We arrived at 7:45 pm for an 8:00 reservation, and we were seated immediately and given bread, so I was really pleased! But then, it took the server a little longer to come to our table (it was busy, I get it), but when she did come, she cut us off as we were ordering. In fact, throughout the evening, any time that we ordered, she interrupted to finish our sentence for us (often incorrectly), and that also included racial microaggressions towards me, one of the few people of color in the restaurant, and the only one on the patio. Despite rushing us while taking our order, our food took forever to come. After we had been waiting probably about a half hour, our server finally came over to us to let us know that our APPETIZER should be out soon, and then she asked us to tell her our entree orders again because she thought that “someone had taken it.” We finally did get our appetizer, which was the best part of the evening and the only reason I’m giving it two stars instead of one - the scallops were cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing. We finally got our entrees at about 9:20 pm, almost an hour and a half after we had first sat down. While waiting, our server passed us multiple times and did not acknowledge us at all. When it finally did come out,the runner first brought it to a different table. And after all that, the food was disappointing. We got the specials - the short rib was pretty good but unevenly cooked. The fish was dry and cold. I did enjoy the squid ink pasta and the pieces of lump crab meat on my dish. After finishing our meal and being the only table left on the patio, we just sat there. No one came out. I finally had to go in and ask for the check. We thought we might get dessert for our long wait, but nothing was offered. I saw this restaurant on multiple St. Michaels lists as one of the best restaurants in town and it was awful. Oh, and it was our anniversary. I do not recommend this...
