Nittany Cards Plus is hands down the best sports card and memorabilia shop in central PA. The owner, Jason, is incredibly knowledgeable across all major sports, and his passion for the hobby shows every time I stop in. I buy from him frequently and often bring my kids along—it’s always a great experience, and Jason goes above and beyond to create a welcoming, customer-first environment. That’s something rare in today’s hype-driven card market.
Jason is also very fair when buying cards. He’s generous with comps and always transparent, but it’s important to remember he’s running a brick-and-mortar business. Like any good shop owner, he needs to be selective with the inventory he takes in. If you come prepared—with reasonable comps from tools like 130point.com or recent eBay sales—you’ll almost always walk away with a fair deal or trade.
It’s disappointing to see negative reviews from folks who expect full retail value for their cards without understanding the realities of the business. There are plenty of options to sell cards these days—don’t take it out on a local small business just because you weren’t prepared.
Support your local shops. Nittany Cards Plus and Jason deserve every bit of...
Read moreGreat business. I dropped by the store looking to get some sealed basketball stuff, individual singles, and some supplies. They have a very good selection of sealed product for NBA, NFL, MLB, and some other lesser collected sports/leagues. Owners prices were pretty fair; many other hobby stores I've checked out before consistently have product marked up higher than what you could get off of ebay. The store also has a good selection of supplies, top loaders for all sizes/thickness of cards. Their available singles are not that big yet, which isn't surprising due to the newness of the store, but I was still able to pick out some cheaper john Elway and Caitlin Clark cards.
Owner is also very friendly, was willing to chat with me and talk about the business.
One of the biggest standouts was the cleanliness. I hate dirt or messy business, a total turnoff, this place was not that. Everything seemed neat and organized. They also had a small little lounge area with one of the Euro league games going on.
If you have any interest in sports or collectible cards, this is by far one of the best places to...
Read moreCool and neatly organized card shop! Met the owner (whom I apologize to for not remembering his name) and his father (at least it felt like it was his father). They had a lot of singles, packs, boxes and supplies. They also had a lot of sports memorabilia and a TV showing a live baseball game! They were kind and helpful. Their Topps F1 Paddock Pass fat packs were the best priced packs I have seen in a while. Also, bought a Topps Chrome UCL single hobby pack and pulled an out of 50 Jude Bellingham auto! Lucky shop! Will be visiting his shop whenever back in town when visiting my family in the future. Wish he was already there when I attended Penn State a few year ago. Best wishes to your...
