I recently paid $232 for an iPhone 13 screen repair here, which included a “student discount.” The repair works fine and the screen looks good, but after checking specs and running diagnostics, I found out the part was an aftermarket OLED, not an Apple-certified display like I was told. When I asked for details, I was told the screen alone cost $225, which doesn’t add up — those parts typically wholesale for way less. It feels like the price was inflated and labeled as a discount just to sound better. To be fair, the screen functions well and the repair was done quickly, but I expected more transparency about what I was actually paying for. If you go here, I recommend asking for the exact screen type, brand, and part number in writing before you agree to the repair. Update: He called me sounding very upset and not very professional. I was nice and even offered to remove my review just for the quick service but it seems like he wished bad Karma on me? The message isn’t really clear

This isn't my first time here. I'm pretty clumsy and tend to drop my phone, so the screen cracks often. I always get my phone screen repaired here, and it's super helpful, quick, and much cheaper than other places. I come here often and often get discounts for minor issues like a cracked screen guard. Plus, the service is very friendly and super fast. Honestly, I think they deserve to charge more for such fast and excellent service.

Guy did an amazing job and definitely fixed up my iPad, it’s definitely the cheapest place in all of State College. He was very friendly and also gave me a screen protector on the house as well as a tablet case that only cost me $20. I would definitely recommend everybody to start going and getting your broken iPhones or Tablets. Will definitely be going back if the worst happens again, and overall relaxing Atmosphere.

AWESOME BUSINESS!! Ahmed just fixed two of my iphones, one that was having screen connection issues, and the other a water damaged screen. He was so helpful in explaining the whole process to me, in fact he insisted on explaining to me the parts that he would be using, how he would be using them, and explained the different price points and advantages/disadvantages to each. After he fixed my first phone he was able to quickly and precisely help another customer and fix their phone before starting to fix the second phone that I brought in, all within roughly an hour time. He really seems to have a great understanding of smartphones and how to fix a variety of different issues. Ahmed was even so generous to install/include (free of charge) screen protectors on both my iphones as well as 2 cases, including the standard warranty which is great for someone who always breaks their phone. Penn Phone Repair uses quality materials, and has knowledgeable and quick quality customer service, I recommend to any students/locals that need a phone repair....

My phone was damaged through daily use, and I needed to get it up and running immediately. It was costly because my phone was a recent model, but he fixed it up like NEW! He allowed me to make the choice on whether my parts would be original ones from the manufacturer, or 3rd party ones at a discount, and he even fixed my charging port at no additional charge. I highly recommend this shop, my phone works even better now than it did before I left it with him. I have no complaints whatsoever, and nothing but praises to sing :]

Edit: I went back a second time. My phone wasn't connecting with the towers properly. He was able to replace the faulty part absolutely cheaper than buying a new phone, which is exactly what I wanted, haha. Once again, this guy comes through with flying colors. I love coming to him for my repairs, I don't have a single bad thing to say. If you got a phone problem, he'll fix it, or tell you what to do if he can't. 5 stars...
