I usually have poor experiences here as I have to remind staff to change their gloves before handling my order to reduce cross contamination risk and explain that they need to use a clean pizza cutter as using the same one for all gluten-free crusts doesn’t do anything for me when I have an intolerance to gluten and also dairy. I have to say this every single time or it’s not done properly. (And yes I am aware of the possible risk of cross contamination in the kitchen as I have intolerances myself and have also worked in the food industry for over ten years)(I’m also aware it’s company policy that employees will change their gloves, wipe the line down, use a different disc to cook it on, & a separate knife to cut it.)
This experience; however, topped all of the ones before in sheer audacity.
I requested the gluten free crust, alerted them to my allergies, requested they change their gloves, which they did. They added some toppings for me but when the person went to add the last topping, a thick wad of hair, that I hadn’t noticed originally, dangling from her oversized sweatshirt sleeve was dragged across my pizza and became lodged in the sauce.
I stopped them immediately and had to repeat myself four times before they noticed what was wrong. This person then grabbed the wad of hair and tossed it on the floor, then hesitated before setting the pizza on the counter behind her rather than immediately throwing it away.
She then, without changing her gloves, grabbed another gluten-free crust and began to start my pizza over.
I stopped her and said they could forget my order as I found that absolutely disgusting. Neither the person who did this nor the person next to them understood why I was upset. I had to explain it two more times before I just walked out as I was tired of explaining basic food safety to people handling my food.
I do hope every staff member at this location receives re-training regarding safe food handling. I also suggest people not wear dangly/ loose clothes while working. And for the love of Pete, long hair needs to be tied back in a bun. I don’t want 12+ inches of loose pony tail dangling...
Read moreI never write reviews, but I feel like this needs to be out there. I was really excited to go here for the first time because I had heard great things about the pizza. I went with a group of 6, many of us going for the first time, and not one of us had a pleasant experience. The workers were incredibly rude, and quite literally rolled their eyes as far into the back of their head as they could when we asked them to repeat themselves because they were talking under their breath. They almost throw your pizza at you, making it difficult to pick up your tray from over the glass counter without nearly dropping it. We actually watched them drop someone’s pizza and then pick it back up and shove it into a box. We were there around 9:45-10 PM and we received constant glares, even walk-bys with more eye rolls in an attempt to get us to leave when closing was at 11. To top it all off, I had an interview scheduled to work there about four months ago, and the employees let me sit there for 45 minutes waiting for the manager before telling me, after asking for the third time, that their manager wasn’t in today and that the owner scheduled interviews without her consent. They took down my name for her to reschedule an interview, and I was never contacted. Needless to say, I took another job, and thank God I did. Overall, the very poor customer service truly ruins the experience. The pizza is pretty good, but not good enough to deal with the atmosphere...
Read moreWhen I heard about this pizza place I was really expecting both great pizza and great customer service, unfortunately I was severely disappointed with the latter. I ordered my meal via their online service and it informed me to pickup promptly at 2:13. Upon entering to pick up my order I was asked to stand and wait in the pickup line. When it was my turn to ask for my order I was told that it was still being made at 2:13. When I asked the short, blonde haired girl about the app, she interjected before I was done speaking with a repeated “we’re good they’re making it now, you’re good.” After waiting an additional 20 minutes for an order that was supposed to be done by 2:13 I went to ask about my order for a second time, to which the same girl again, interjected and said “yeah they’re making it now, you’re good” being overly dismissive in her tone. When I expressed my frustrations, her dismissive tone grew more apparent. I normally don’t leave reviews, let alone bad ones, but I feel that a team’s customer service in food is important to the success of business and returning customers. Even if the food is good, it is the responsibility of the team member to meet certain expectations when working in...
