Rapid Transit Sports — Local services in State College

All the reviews of this place are SPOT ON. Their customer service is unmatched here. My husband and I walked in wanting shoes for specific purposes and weird sizing. They offer a wide selection here and like I said, the customer service is what will now keep us as repeat customers.

I am on my feet for 10-12 hours a day with my job ranging from 15k-20k steps a day and my feet were KILLING ME after my shifts each day. The gentleman that helped me really listened to me with attentiveness and tailored shoes to fit my needs. I tried on several different pairs at his recommendation and got two pairs of shoes and compression socks to help with the swelling that happens at the end of the day. He spent roughly 45 minutes helping me and it was busy but I really did feel like I was the only one there at the time. He didn’t rush me, he listened to my concerns, and he made me feel really good about my purchases. This is the only place in State College that actually have people fit you for shoes.

My husband has wide feet and struggles to find any shoe that is comfortable for him, and they were able to fit him as well and carried shoes that tailored to his needs. Anyone who has specific sizes knows this is important

Great first experience here!! All of the staff here was very friendly and very knowledgeable!! Both my mom and I purchased new shoes today and we left there feeling very satisfied!! The staff takes the time to get to know the customer and gets to know your feet and how you walk and then fits you with multiple shoes until you find the best shoe! When I found my perfect match today it fit like a glove and I was able to walk in them all day around state college and at the end of the night my feet did not hurt at all!! This was a much different experience then we were used to because usually if we purchased shoes we'd go to a store and just try on several shoes without much help from the store employees until we found one that fit!! Anyone who is in the market for new shoes should check this store out. As I said they are very knowledgeable and not just in one brand of shoe but several different brands. Can't say enough great things about rapid transit sports ware and we will definitely be going back in the near future to purchase our next new pair...

First time in yesterday afternoon and will only be purchasing running shoes from Rapid Transit from here on out. It was pretty busy when we got there, but both myself and my boyfriend had one on one attention from two very knowledgable employees. Brock helped me and was extremely personable, patient and helpful. I had been wearing the same pair of Nikes for 2 years and had little knowledge of what shoe I wanted. He brought out probably 8-10 pairs of shoes for me to try on over the course of 30 minutes. They allow you to go run in the alley by the store to really get a feel for the shoes and that is really really great. Shoes have a very different feel from walking to running. I ended up with a pair of shoes that completely conform to my foot and I can barely tell I am wearing. They feel wonderful and I am so excited to run in them!
