I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with uBreakiFix on multiple occasions, and my overall impression has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.
My initial visit was to address issues with my phone, but upon its return, it was evident that the job had been done poorly. The screen had glue adhesion issues, and the call quality deteriorated significantly. To make matters worse, it took several attempts to get them to take my concerns seriously, including having to request a complaint.
During my second visit, I had to cross the border again, only to find that they failed to deliver a satisfactory result once more. The glue issue persisted, and my screen still had problems, including a glaring green line. Suddenly, they claimed a battery replacement was necessary to address the screen problem, even though that was not the original issue.
The third visit ended in similar disappointment, as the call quality and screen problems remained unresolved. It's important to note that my phone is kept in an Otterbox case, has no physical damage, and has never been exposed to water.
My fourth visit should not have been necessary, but the issues persisted. Even then, the staff didn't seem interested in helping until I insisted on filing a complaint. It's disheartening to see a company so unwilling to take responsibility for their mistakes and provide adequate customer service.
The inconsistency in their record-keeping and the manager's apparent lack of interest in resolving the issue only added to my frustration. Communication was, at best, sporadic and unprofessional.
In conclusion, my experience with uBreakiFix has been marked by a complete lack of professionalism, subpar service quality, and a distinct lack of customer care. I'm left with unresolved issues and a deep sense of dissatisfaction. It's disappointing when a company fails to meet even the most basic expectations for service and accountability.
From start to finish, the entire process has taken me around ten months, and the end result has been receiving a refund only for the services that were not properly done despite the numerous back-and-forth calls. While I appreciate the manager's refund, the core issues were never resolved, and there was a lack of sincerity or effort to fix the problems. I strongly advise others to think twice before entrusting their devices to this...
Read moreI can honestly say that the customer service part of my experience started out great. I stopped by to have them take a look at my phone (screen/lcd was going in and out). Two of the guys take a look at it and determined it was a LCD issue and it would be covered under warranty. Bad news was, it would take about 2wks to get the part ordered and in store. Soooo fast forward 12 days, I get the call that the part is in and I can drop my phone off. I rush down to the store after work and they take another look at my phone and let me know its covered under warranty but it would be a 2-4hr fix and I can leave my phone overnight...I decided to just bring it in the next day. Upon returning to the store and waiting close to a hour and for some reason its hard to find my account or whatever (even after calling me twice).. I'm then told that the screen is NOT covered under warranty and it would cost me $240 plus tax!!!!...Now the "screen issue" is from abuse!! I was told the issue was caused by pressure damage?? Mind you, the damaged spot on the LCD is in a area that would rarely be touched and my phone is in "immaculate condition" per the tech. The tech even had the nerve to blame the mistake of other techs telling me it was covered under warranty due to lack of training smdh...No one likes their time wasted and I totally feel like this was a...
Read moreWith the whole Google Pixel 4a fiasco I needed to take my wifeâs phone in to get its battery replaced. We looked around and found this UBreakIFix in Sterling Heights. Not only were they recommended by Google, they also had a ton of good reviews. So, happily, we took the phone in thinking â âWhat could go wrong?â Well, let me tell you⌠They broke it. Not only that, they also lied about it, straight to our faces. After an hour or two of the phone being in their possession, they gave us a call and told us that while replacing the battery the motherboard mustâve went bad. To be precise, I was told that the battery was not providing any power to the board and that even their voltmeter was showing nothing going between the board and the battery. Well, Iâm no battery scientist, but I donât really get how, if what they said was true, the alarms my wife set went off at the exact time they always do, some 8 hours after we got the phone back. Not only that, but I could also turn them up and down with the volume buttons. Clearly, while in their hands, this UBreakIFixâs technicians damaged the screen on the phone and felt it better to lie to us than do the right thing.
TLDR: They broke my phoneâs screen, then lied to me and told me it was the motherboard that was malfunctioning. Wish I could give...
