Took in my iPhone Xs for water damage (display is blank). Elias took my phone in on June 6th, 2022 and gave me a receipt for 0$ (I was told if I buy Asurion insurance worth 25$ I will get my water damage cleaning for free). Next day on June 7th, 2022 I was called and told iPhone display is non-repairable and needs to be replaced with OEM display worth 380$ (or) after market display worth 100$. As I did not want to pursue either options I told I will come to take back my phone and returned on June 12th, 2022. To my surprise iPhone display is cracked (pic attached) and Elias said it was pre-existent during my iPhone drop-off. He said he mentioned the same in his notes during check-in on receipt (pic attached). My mistake is not to notice the lies put in on the receipt during drop-off. Even after asking to look at the CCTV footage to verify my claim (iPhone display is perfectly fine) I was turned down saying it is too distant and cannot be verified and argued back that as per their notes it is cracked during drop-off. I was given option to replace display for 50$ but I didn’t pursue it as I don’t trust these guys no more. I am severely disappointed and would never ever go to this place for repair again.

I would highly recommend going to a different store for laptop repairs. The images I've provided speak for themselves and these were taken 2 months after attempting to get it repaired. In addition to this, I took in a MacBook that received a defective battery. So now, I have 2 laptops that are in a completely unusable condition, forcing me to quit my academic pursuits until I can purchase another laptop. The employee I spoke with was incredibly unprofessional as well. They gave a lot of apologies and excuses when I questioned the state of my laptop and even proceeded to give me a sob story about how they have to deal with terrible customers all the time and explained that their Boss sucks. We questioned their customer service skills and were then kicked out the store with them threatening to call the cops as if they were the victim. I'M the one that's losing out here! Thankfully, I was able to get in touch with corporate who reviewed the store footage and was able to provide me fair compensation for all that occurred. I'm leaving this review here for those looking into this store. Please go to another store and save yourself the hassle.

This store is awesome and the service is excellent. I first went to the Troy location on Crooks because I had an issue with my phone. They replaced my camera module, but the job wasn’t done well. There was dust and oil left on the lens, and my pictures looked foggy. I decided to try the Sterling Heights location instead, and I’m so glad I did. They replaced both of my camera modules perfectly, with no dust, and everything looks clear now. Big thanks to Jacques for taking the time to explain everything and making sure the repair was done right. I got my phone back in just a few hours without any problems. I highly recommend this store over the Troy one.

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with uBreakiFix on multiple occasions, and my overall impression has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.

My initial visit was to address issues with my phone, but upon its return, it was evident that the job had been done poorly. The screen had glue adhesion issues, and the call quality deteriorated significantly. To make matters worse, it took several attempts to get them to take my concerns seriously, including having to request a complaint.

During my second visit, I had to cross the border again, only to find that they failed to deliver a satisfactory result once more. The glue issue persisted, and my screen still had problems, including a glaring green line. Suddenly, they claimed a battery replacement was necessary to address the screen problem, even though that was not the original issue.

The third visit ended in similar disappointment, as the call quality and screen problems remained unresolved. It's important to note that my phone is kept in an Otterbox case, has no physical damage, and has never been exposed to water.

My fourth visit should not have been necessary, but the issues persisted. Even then, the staff didn't seem interested in helping until I insisted on filing a complaint. It's disheartening to see a company so unwilling to take responsibility for their mistakes and provide adequate customer service.

The inconsistency in their record-keeping and the manager's apparent lack of interest in resolving the issue only added to my frustration. Communication was, at best, sporadic and unprofessional.

In conclusion, my experience with uBreakiFix has been marked by a complete lack of professionalism, subpar service quality, and a distinct lack of customer care. I'm left with unresolved issues and a deep sense of dissatisfaction. It's disappointing when a company fails to meet even the most basic expectations for service and accountability.

From start to finish, the entire process has taken me around ten months, and the end result has been receiving a refund only for the services that were not properly done despite the numerous back-and-forth calls. While I appreciate the manager's refund, the core issues were never resolved, and there was a lack of sincerity or effort to fix the problems. I strongly advise others to think twice before entrusting their devices to this...

I can honestly say that the customer service part of my experience started out great. I stopped by to have them take a look at my phone (screen/lcd was going in and out). Two of the guys take a look at it and determined it was a LCD issue and it would be covered under warranty. Bad news was, it would take about 2wks to get the part ordered and in store. Soooo fast forward 12 days, I get the call that the part is in and I can drop my phone off. I rush down to the store after work and they take another look at my phone and let me know its covered under warranty but it would be a 2-4hr fix and I can leave my phone overnight...I decided to just bring it in the next day. Upon returning to the store and waiting close to a hour and for some reason its hard to find my account or whatever (even after calling me twice).. I'm then told that the screen is NOT covered under warranty and it would cost me $240 plus tax!!!!...Now the "screen issue" is from abuse!! I was told the issue was caused by pressure damage?? Mind you, the damaged spot on the LCD is in a area that would rarely be touched and my phone is in "immaculate condition" per the tech. The tech even had the nerve to blame the mistake of other techs telling me it was covered under warranty due to lack of training smdh...No one likes their time wasted and I totally feel like this was a...

With the whole Google Pixel 4a fiasco I needed to take my wife’s phone in to get its battery replaced. We looked around and found this UBreakIFix in Sterling Heights. Not only were they recommended by Google, they also had a ton of good reviews. So, happily, we took the phone in thinking – “What could go wrong?” Well, let me tell you… They broke it. Not only that, they also lied about it, straight to our faces. After an hour or two of the phone being in their possession, they gave us a call and told us that while replacing the battery the motherboard must’ve went bad. To be precise, I was told that the battery was not providing any power to the board and that even their voltmeter was showing nothing going between the board and the battery. Well, I’m no battery scientist, but I don’t really get how, if what they said was true, the alarms my wife set went off at the exact time they always do, some 8 hours after we got the phone back. Not only that, but I could also turn them up and down with the volume buttons. Clearly, while in their hands, this UBreakIFix’s technicians damaged the screen on the phone and felt it better to lie to us than do the right thing.

TLDR: They broke my phone’s screen, then lied to me and told me it was the motherboard that was malfunctioning. Wish I could give...
