Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Sterling Heights

This is now my second horrible experience with this location. It seems to be another review similar to my experience so I know it’s not just me. The girl that works the drive-through on Sundays has the worst customer service ever. I was going to make a review the first time, but I thought maybe she was having a bad day, that’s not the case. This girl is just extremely rude and I will no longer be coming back to this location specifically because of this person. During my first experience, she actually close the door midway through me asking to use Apple Pay. She then had an attitude and it seemed like she rolled her eyes. Then today I was waiting in the drive-through for almost 10 minutes(I was the only vehicle there, also, there was no vehicle in front of me) and when I ask for a cup of water, she shut the door. The drive-through door is cracked so I know she could hear me say “excuse me” once the door had been shut in my face. Once I was able to get her attention again, she rolled her eyes when I asked for a cup of water. Something needs to be done about this employee because she is obviously hurting...

hi, I go to tropical smoothie very often and I have to say this is my least favorite store. i work close to this location and usually place an online order on my lunch break and go to pick it up. today I go to pick it up and the door is locked so I go to the drive-through and the line was long and extremely slow, so I ended up waiting for 30 minutes to get an order that was placed 20 minutes prior. it was around 8:05 when i placed this order and i arrived around 8:25. i did not leave until 8:55 so i wasted my whole meal period in line for an order that should’ve been easy to pick up. as a customer service manager in retail and previous foh restaurant manager, i understand pre-closing but u shouldn’t be half closed w doors locked 30-40 mins before close its a bit much, especially if employees can’t handle getting the drive thru served quickly. after my long wait i received a half cooked quesadilla, looks like they put it in the microwave. very disappointed and am considering not...

Don't eat here, their staff does not understand basic food safety and you risk getting sick then they get an attitude for calling them out on it!!!

I was inside waiting patiently for my smoothie when I witnessed a staff member innocently drop some lids on the floor while her back was turned. The smoothie making area has many staff members walking there and the floor gets wet and messy. The same staff member took some of the lids and threw them out but took the others, which also touched the floor, and put them immediately onto a couple of smoothies heading out the drive through window. I tried to alert the staff that they were on the floor and they shouldn't use those lids. The staff member in question immediately got an attitude with me and the manager (or so she was acting like) told me I "wasn't going to argue with the staff". I calmly informed her of the problem and she told the staff member to re make the smoothies. The staff member got mad and gave me additional...
