Baughman Rock Overlook — Attraction in Stewart Township

Lovely overlook, very peaceful. I got there through the Baughman Trail that starts in Ohiopyle and I got there around 10am on a Saturday. I've encountered a couple of people that were going to the Overlook but when I got to it no one was there. There is a small parking area that can accommodate a few cars in case you just want to drive there and the overlook is a few feet from it. This is a wonderful scenic overlook just a 5 minute drive from the Ohiopyle Visitor Center. Easy and beautiful drive and just a small pulloff for maybe 8 cars. There is a short walk through some woods and crossing the hiking path and then uphill to the vista. Although beautiful, not for the faint at heart due to having to walk steeply up the stones to the fence. Each time I visit Ohiopyle State Park, I try to explore a new area of the park. On this trip, we drove out to the Baughman Overlook, which is located on State Route 26116 or what locals simply call Sugarloaf Road.
